Public Health & Social Care BA (Hons)

University rating (4)

Studying at Croydon University Centre within Croydon College has given me the freedom to manage my personal and study life efficiently due to the college’s great location, which is within easy reach to all transport links with an excellent range of shops and restaurants within easy reach. Having lived in Croydon for a significant number of years has been an advantage, however, if I was to live further afield I would have still chosen Croydon University Centre to study. This is because courses are economical compared to other Universities offering similar courses. Although the College is smaller this could be advantageous to many who prefer a more personal service which Croydon provides due to its size. Facilities are in proportion with good quality catering services providing food for all tastes and budgets. To improve the University, a few more personal touches could be added such as personal lockers which are not available to people on certain courses. It would also be good for social events to be introduced to allow students to socialise and build friendships which many people struggle to do. I have had a good experience at the College and University and would recommend it to prospective students.

I enjoy the courses in this institution where I've studied since 2016. I started my study from the Esol level 1 to BA and it’s good experience I am having.

The centre is well organised and everyone is nice and available when needed. The course is validated by Sussex University. The student common room is very inviting and relaxing, there are all sorts of games that can be played and attracts students to enjoy their brake, the food in the building is freshly made every day and good and affordable.

Best: Student-friendly and supportive staff. Worst: less diversity because the majority are Asian students.

I hope the university may give more support to Chinese students and the model of the course should be changed for spring semester
