Coventry is a brilliant University, it has supportive staff, friendly students and great facilities :) my three years there were the best years of my life, I miss it!

Coventry is a very friendly, compact city, I love it.

Really high quality accommodation

The course content is what you would expect for computing - a broad range of skills covered including programming (C++, C, Python), system analysis & design, operating systems, mathematics, databases, cloud computing, etc. However is all let down by the attitude of many other students and quite a few staff too. Generally class sizes and lecturer:student ratio is pretty bad and so you will have to fight for help in labs and you wont get emails answered in hurry (or ever). The course is not well organised and often things are done at the last minute. Trying to get hold of basic learning material like lecture slides or handouts can be difficult. Staff, especially admin staff, seem to talk down to you and act like they are doing you a favour even though we are paying 9k a year to study. Welfare, health & wellbeing support is non-existent. Do not come to Coventry if you have a disability or hope to receive any pastoral support whatsoever. The library is outdated and completely inadequate, it needs knocking down and rebuilding. The Engineering-Computing "EC" building was only built a couple of years ago but already the lecture halls feel tired. The toilets in the building are frequently broken or filthy. Despite spending a fortune on this building they neglected to make it student friendly and incorporate any quite study areas at all; it is all flash and open plan, designed to look good on a brochure rather than functional - ironic given the emphasis on good design and usability in EC run courses.

Coventry university was a big let down for me. the overall lectures and courses standard vary much All department faculty I've had to deal with (finance, Add+vantage, Timetable team etc.) have been completely useless. Making the university experience a unpleasant and a stressful hassle, and that's without homework. The accommodation (Apollo house) was in a bad neighborhood, and in poor condition for £420 a month. If you want the degree you after without more hassle then then the usual amount of study, go anywhere but Coventry university :)

Coventry Uni is not happy with being ok or even good, they want to be the best. This means they constantly want to change things, from lecturing technique to improving facilities, if it is not perfect they will change and 75% of the time they change for the better, the other 25% is quickly made better by either another new concept or going back to the old one. They have a great careers team and extremely helpful lecturers who always have time for you. I would reccomend this uni to anyone and as someone who went on to do a masters at a Russell Group Uni, I can inform you it is far superior to the conventional 'top unis'.

I chose coventy because of the great english course it provided and the flexibility of the modules. Also it it not too big a city but has easy access to big cities and the campus is in a great location for all the amenities of the city.

I'm studyn fashion design and I heard about the uni through a friend. The main reason I chose cov uni is the fact that the school of arts and design got an up to date tailoring machines and advanced technology. What I realy like about cov uni is the architectural buildings and the fact that the uni is licated right at the city center where everywhere is close both accomodation and stores making life easier for students unlike other institutions

It's being amazing since I started my course here and started getting to learn a lot. On the academics front, I can just say that I made the right decision by joining coventry university. The faculty members, staff members are very helpful and are there to guide us any time and moreover they make it easier for us to learn the subjects. In all, Coventry University is a perfect place to start your career.

There's a few things I find interesting about the city life such as the clubs and societies the v university provides and even the restaurants as well. They also provide good service when it comes to them helping s student find a job or placement.

Coventry university is socially very strong. This I have noticed by looking at the level of cohesiveness between the students abd the tutors, as well as between the students themselves. In addition, there are a lot of places within the campus to which students can go to in order to meet their friends and grab something to eat or drink.

The uni is great with outstanding lecturers and facilities, the buildings are well designed especially the engineering building. Thankfully I have really good flatmates and coursemates.

The university needs to have more people to support the development of students as their are many who are still finding it difficult to adjust to uni life
