The University provides many different services and supports students in many different ways like with mental health and with future career aspirations. The worst aspect would probably be the constant strikes that makes students miss out on their education and is also a waste of money as many classes are missed.

Computer Science

The best aspects of my experience have been the student union’s societies which provided a great way to meet new people and really enhanced my student experience on campus. I also enjoyed the wide range of facilities on campus, including study rooms, library and the cafe’s and shops within the campus itself. The worst aspects of my uni experience would be the over-reliance on online teaching. It really impacts my learning and removes the interactivity that is important when learning more practical things in Computer Science. I would also say that the food and products in campus can be expensive at times when compared to other places in the area.

City Uni is a great place to study and you can make many friends, but I feel like in this second semester they have left us first years in the deep end by increasing our modules and reducing the guidance given for our subjects and it's a bit poorly organised.

Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Psychology PGCert

University rating (4)

The uni is great, great facilities and the staff are great. There is a great support and interesting courses. The location is fair, there is no green spaces on the campus which is a shame. There are no good food options nearby or on campus for lunch (especially for vegetarians/vegans). There are very little on campus leisure facilities for students and there is no student bar/restaurant.

Best thing would be area and the amount of career support you get. Also the campus is really beautiful. The worst part, which isn't actually bad, is how competitive my course is but it helps to motivate me.

The campus is always clean and the modern facilities give a nice feeling. Departments like admissions or fees are always slow to answer and require constant chasing.
