It is a great course for understanding acting technique as well as trying out screen acting specific things like motion capture. As it is the first time they have done this course they have been working out the term and exams so hopefully will improve from our feedback. I would like there to be slightly more contact hours as acting is quite a practical course however I understand that the spare hours of the week are meant to ne used for personal projects which is good too.

I like the modern room that is given to you but I would like to have more storage space. I really love that the kitchen gets cleaned each week and that we have our own fridges in our room. I wish it was a bit closer to our uni as we have to pay for travel everyday but understand that it's harder in London. Also I really like the common room downstairs but wish there was some kind of communal space to sit on each floor to eat with friends.

I have really enjoyed this term and our classes. I would just preferred more contact hours if possible.

A lot of freedom to do whatever I want

People are very messy and break the laundry machine every week.

The teachers are always available, the film industry specifically screenwriting is very hard to get into but CFS does provide the film buddy website which often post job opportunities and there are often employment announcements in the classroom. Screenwriting is a degree that doesn’t require very many facilities but students have access to computers and screenwriting software if needed.

The course content is carefully curated to prep students for the industry. All the modules are very hands on and the professors are interactive and make learning interesting.

tutors are freelancers that come and go and most don't know what they are called to teach, there is no career support whatsoever and for placements you have to do all yourself, unless you beg a tutor to give you a personal contact

Tutors are freelancers that give 1-4 classes, then is another one, probably the cheapest they found or a friend of someone. Most teachers only work part-time, making it hard to know who is doing what and have any continuity in the work. the school doesn't facilitate any work experience or placement, is up to the student to find them, unless you befriend one of the lecturer in which case they may give you one of their personal contacts. Poor career prospects since they didn't help us building an actual portfolio nor provided the skills needed.

_old model c100 or arri alexa as available cameras, the first is worse than my phone, the latter needs lenses that are on the student to rent (they don't have them) _tutors don't even read scripts BUT they do give feedback... on what? that's actually harmful _you will be wondering "couldn't I have made a film with what I paid CFS to have 0 assistance in the making of films?" "am I learning anything here?" _we were asked to choose between specialisms (directing, producing etc), before even having a single class about them. Then, for some specialism we did have 1 class, for some none at all through the year _even the 2 permanent staff assigned to our course were part-time, 1 week or 2 to have a simple email replied _placement? need to find it yourself. Alternatively, hope that the tutors will use their own person leads (which shouldn't be the case because subjected to preferences AND because they were truly bad people to work for)

Facilities are great. Lots of equipment, etc.
