All great but no tutor contact time past year 1.

I love the amount of contact hours the course has. I relish the independent learning style but its also great to know I can contact my tutors whenever I need them. They also have dedicated student hours for any queries or concerns. The staff are genuinely passionate about what they do and this is reflected in their dedication to the students.

It’s a 40 min walk from the uni

We had to find our own placement for fourth year which I know some students struggled with, I don't know if much support was given to students during this process. The course is mostly online during this year and lots of recorded lecturers is provided but it has been challenging juggling work and study at the same time. The facilities at the school are okay but could do with some improvement.

Very good range of subject choice and period. It is helpful that lectures are recorded and put online in the event that I cannot attend. To improve, maybe more course related events being held, but this is only a minor point. As well, clarity on what professors want from assessments when it is a new module with no example works

The location was amazing on Colum road, this was the best thing about being in this hall. However, the house itself did not have many good amenities. My room was very small, whilst comfortable, which remained a reservation about the house all year.

good split of small group tutorials and lectures (mostly in person) as well as wider reading and work to complete between sessions.

Student village is University owned houses shared by 1st year students and allocated at random. my house was opposite the SU and close to uni buildings so excellent location. It was a decent size and had 3 bathrooms (2 showers) for 7 people as well as a large kitchen and cleaners that came in weekly. However i had a number of maintenance issues including that my radiator didn't work and the room was freezing until it could be sorted.

It has a good amount of contact hours, it can be watched online if you can’t attend in person. However, it is very content heavy for 50 minutes

I love the variety of modules available for my course, and most lecturers and tutors are approachable and explain the content well. I find the number of contact hours is good and workload is distributed well so I haven’t been too overwhelmed with lots of deadlines at once.

I have yet to complete a work placement or internship but the choices of placement available for my year abroad were very good. Lecturers are overall very passionate about their subject and are willing to answer questions. All are prompt at answering emails and engage with their students. There are occasionally issues with the timetable, for example having large gaps between lectures or having lectures run for long periods without breaks.

I don't have any complaints about the course itself and I generally feel well supported when it comes to exams and placement. Some more support during away placements could be useful, for example putting you in contact with the other students beforehand which could make the experience less daunting. Travel to placement is an issue. More contact with personal tutors and support from staff would be appreciated as there occasionally feels like there is a disconnect between staff and students.

I stayed here during COVID which was isolating as no mixing between flats was allowed.
