Not a city I would recommend international students come to. The program itself was great.
Na
Great small community university feel with the success of a large university. Great campus life for first years and good location from the city centre for 2nd and 3rd years. Training facilities are amazing with top class athletes training within niac!
Only uni to have 200m indoor banked track.....excellent training facilities especially for athletics
Library and careers services very helpful and a great service when needed
Good students union....with good student ambassadors
Cardiff is a great city with lively areas but still small enough to feel close knit and lovely countryside areas just a short distance away
Sounds a very good range and well advertised however not involved with anything other than athletics
Good course content preparing us for a career in the teaching profession. Very full on and heavy emphasis on lesson plans and written work
Good job prospects as a well respected uni but just no pe jobs in wales
Not living on campus....lived there for my undergred and it was average but now theyve revamped
I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cardiff Met. The university offers superb opportunities and facilities to students and ensures that the student experience is at the centre if it's offering.
The sports facilities at the university are excellent. The availability of electronic resources is also excellent although the library resources could be reviewed.
Once again, superb.
The union certainly has student interests at heart. I believe however that they should be more pro-active improving the educational experience of students.
Cardiff in superb. A real up and coming city.
There are several clubs and societies to join. I never really engaged with them however because I also worked part time.
The tutors on this course has excellent experience and subject knowledge. They are very accessible and passionate about their work, ensuring that all students are performing the best that they can,
The Cardiff Met PGCE qualification is something very much valued by schools.
I did not stay in university accommodation but I understadn that it's very good.
Enjoy spending time at uni and enjoyed my 3 years there
Disability service have been great the entire time I have been there
Communication not great
Not enough range and not much support in place to start up new ones - or not that I know of
Some lecturers not engaging enough so lectures seem boring
High rate of employment
Overall, Cardiff Met is a good uni with an excellent reputation for my subject area. My course tutors are knowledgable and give us as much direction and support as possible.
Really enjoyed my experience of the university and everything it had to offer and hopefully it will leave me in good stead when applying for jobs.
A nice place to go to university, but my particular course did not provide me with what I wanted it to and was not well structured as I had to fight to do the modules I wanted
Not enough 24hr facilities
Strong support network
Non existent
A reasonable selection of things to do
Lots of choice and good nights out
Very supportive
Took me a while to get a job
Did not stay in university supplied accomodation
Great experience at Cardiff Met. Course has been varied and interesting, while leading to good job prospects due to the reputation of the institution. Extra-curricular activities provided by the SU/AU are fantastic
University as itself is not the best it is relatively small howeve cardiff is a great city especially for students, prepare to fight for accommodation as a very very small number get halls and halls is a majority of international students
Pretty much non existent. Barely ever open and always empty.
Cardiff city is buzzing day and night. When Wales play on a Saturday city centre is on fire. However it is not cheap!
Take sport extremely seriously be prepared for that.
Can't really answer that of yet. However job field specific to psychology is small anyway.
Relatively poor. I had a cold shower for a month for example.
Outstanding University, of course it is not perfect just like any other university. There is a lack of management of the course and not enough IT equipment for students however the course is what you come to do which for me is outstanding and allows me to become food chemist as i wanted to become. Highly recommended.
