I have had lecturers leave and new lecturers join the institute which has created some turbulence in students progress. Apart from that I thoroughly enjoy all my learning and developing at Cardiff Met.

I enjoy my course, I get help if I need it,support from the university, I go to the gym at the university because it’s free for first year students, if you need psychological support you can also get it, in addition to various other activities, drawings, dancing etc. I’m happy with my choice.

Good library’s and facilities for studying but not good facilities for socialising, SU is a bit underwhelming especially compared to Cardiff Uni’s SU.

Great food facilities and overall aesthetic of Oblock. I think more should be added, in terms of societies.

Lectures are interesting and engaging from most lecturers, however the student life could be improved.

Amazing staff very resourceful!

Worst - I was a member of a society for two years, which I believe may have been the fastest-growing women’s society at Cardiff Met. Unfortunately, the environment was extremely toxic, largely due to an unprofessional coach who relied on negativity and shame to pressure members into commitment. This coach appeared to have little regard for the physical or mental well-being of the team, frequently reducing players to tears during training over minor mistakes. When concerns were raised with the Students’ Union, we were informed that no action could be taken unless the club presidents decided to remove the coach. However, since the coach handpicked the presidents—selecting close friends—this cycle of poor leadership and emotional harm persists with no clear solution. At a time when students should be focused on their degrees, many of us instead found ourselves dedicating our time and energy to a club that treated its members poorly. The lack of accountability has allowed a damaging culture to continue, negatively impacting the mental well-being of countless students. Best - The lecturers at Cardiff School of Management have been incredibly supportive and engaging throughout my university journey. Their dedication to student success is evident in their approachable teaching style, offering valuable guidance both inside and outside of the classroom. They create a positive learning environment where I feel comfortable asking questions and seeking advice, helping me to build both my academic knowledge and confidence. Their passion for the subjects they teach, combined with their genuine interest in our personal growth, has truly made my university experience amazing and has motivated me to strive for excellence.

I love my course at uni, I get so much support from lecturers and the facilities available are amazing. Llandaff campus is friendly, and is a short walk away from accommodation. Uni accom is basic but the social life is good. Only downside about Llandaff campus is the lack of a student union, would make social life a lot better if we had one.

The atmosphere of the university is great and it feels like all staff and students are the same. The location is ideal and it is easy to get to the university. I feel cardiffmet has get the right formula and as of now do not need to improve any aspect of their university.

We're given good resources and a lot of support. The university itself looks more like a glorified college than a university which isn't that bad but it makes me feel like I'm still a kid at school. Some rooms need air conditioning.
