Amazing city, Great teachers/lecturers. Not many uni have this specific course
Amazing practical's very useful for experience
High paid part time
Great place but too expensive
Facilities are slowly being updated and the campus is growing, course content is very good and the blend of distance learning/in person lectures post covid was very good. Find the lecture sometimes disorganised and lack of accountability in teaching staff. Other unis make sure students have regular check ups with mentors but in my experience uwe doesn't do that
Rics accredited. However many students who get the 2md or third year without knowing basics about how a building is constructed
Bristol is diverse, depends if you fall in love with city, seems if you don't always enjoy going out then can get isolating but plenty to do and plenty of people to meet if you're not interested in that. People go to Bristol to discover themselves and it's liberating
The course itself is very practical; heavily focused on technical detail but also maths & physics! The work load has always been bearable but time management is really important as it’s so easy to fall behind.
Lecture room arrangements are sometimes unpractical, bringing drawing boards, materials etc to a lecture Theater on small tables doesn’t really help with producing quality work. Projects can be unorganised sometimes but the course is very individually based so it’s a matter of personal organisation and willingness to understand the design process etc .

It was impossible to get student accommodation upon applying here as an insurance on my UCAS application, however the university itself is brilliant, the staff are all very friendly and the other students are very kind and sociable
**I haven’t done any work placements or internships yet but the prospects for them seem very positive and appealing
There are a lot of international students, it’s amazing to get to know people with a completely different background to you
