Excellent experience, Agriculture tutors are very knowledgeable in the field and always happy to help. Bridgend college (pencoad) is a friendly helpful campus.
Work placement is offered. Employability work sessions offers
Most: Intermate class sizes, knowledgeable lectures. Least: cold classrooms, lacking plugs for laptops
Not involved, student union is on a seperate campus
Facilities are available however they could be improved.
Excellent tutor support. Have not needed to use any personal support however the receptionist is very helpful if directions are needed.
Enjoyed all of the time I’ve been involved. Even from the level 3 days. Enjoyed doing the assignments and exams because the tutors have made all the lessons interesting and easy for me to learn about the subjects taught
Open up opportunities with local farmers. Work placement offered. Meet new and interesting farmers
The tutors and friendly and helpful towards the course. Have good experience in the agricultural industry
Very good internet and library supplies
Study from home
Young farmers club ystradfellte
Very good. Help always offered with assignments and information giving at my home farm for the future
Good. The course is well taught, with great enthusiasm and passion. Help is always at hand for clarification of assessments, placements and anything else that may be required.
Placements very good, only first year so don’t know about employment.
Love the teachers. 😀
Don t attend.
Very, library good.
Bridgend not great, but surrounding areas lovely.
The experience has been life changing and given me a confidence I never had before. As a result of the lecturers, I know realise the importance of something as simple as "being nice" to people and how what you say can have an impact on people in a positive or negative manner.
As I'm in the military, my work placement is already sorted for me.
The way in which the information is presented at Bridgend College has not just taught me how to become a better teacher, but has also given me a more positive outlook on life in general. The staff have been nothing short of inspirational and their teaching strategies have led to me being fully engaged. The course enables learners to study in their own time, thus being extremely flexible and allows me to study around my work and family life.
Whilst it's a great idea, which I have been made aware of, as yet I have no concerns. If issues arise, I would be happy to approach the student union.
The facilities are good, particularly the library and canteen which is very competitively priced.
Bridgend is a town not a city that I often use for shopping. The people seem very friendly.
The support and welfare package is very good. The welfare team introduced themselves in a friendly and approachable manner and teacher feedback is always relevant and supportive as opposed to becoming a character assassination.
I have very much enjoyed my first year and look forward to taking part in year 2. I enjoy the personal development the course has helped facilitate. The college is also very supportive in helping me gain experience in what will hopefully be my new profession
Has a huge effect on the prospect of a job post rugby career. It has also given me a lot of respect from people outside the professional sports industry. The college has also supported my growth as an individual
Different lectures with different styles of teaching but always positive. Very flexible and understanding to individual needs, also very supportive. I’m not the biggest fan of google chrome as it’s the first time I’ve used it
Haven’t had anything to do with them and just that’s just because I have no time as I’m in full-time employment
Local town, so not always loads going on
Very good sports clubs
All tutors are very supportive and professional.
Well this is my fourth higher education course. I already have a BA and two MA's. SO I've experienced my fair share of universities and university courses. This course is nurturing, the people I know on it have bonded well, staff are friendly and helpful and I am glad to be on this course.
I has been useful in getting me out into the professional world. With my current placement I’m getting a feel of what it’s like to be working professional and the support from my mentors is second to none.
The way the staff are willing to meet up for one-to-one sessions to help break down vast amounts of information, which I sometimes find too much. I understand that this is nothing to with the course and that it has to be done. The support is the greatest aspect to this course. There is no rushing and I always feel welcome.
I honestly can't comment as I'm not a member. The main reason being I'm only in one day a week and not a local.
Very good. The library is small, but very comfortable, the computers are modern and I can work for hours without being disturbed. I have Asperger's, so being left alone to work by myself does cater to my needs. Can't recommend it enough.
Bridgend is more of a town than a city, It's very pleasant and I do feel safe walking about.
Like with the union, I'm not a member of any societies so I can't commend.
Second to none. Really helpful and I do feel content.
Ive loved my experiences. Was the best decision I’ve made. I definitely think the course I’ve done is best suited to me and i would recommend it to anyone thinking of going into teaching
They have arranged a trip to the prison for those interested teaching in that area
I enjoy everything about my course. The teachers are great at giving us all information and helping us when needed. There’s nothing i dislike
They have made themselves known to me but i dont have any concerns to be raised. If i did then maybe i would get more involved
Good. If i need anymore books then i can request them and they get bought in. I have everything i need. May be a coloured printer would be handy
Not interested too much in the city life
Not interested much in the clubs
I feel very support. I’m tutors are very supportive and give me very helpful and useful feedback. I dont need any counselling but I’ve been made aware of who to go to if i do need it.
I have loved it! A wonderful course, with really passionate and caring teachers. The staff are so involved and enthusiastic about our careers and what we plan on doing next. I have received support above and beyond from the staff, I would thoroughly recommend the course purely on the level teaching and the support you receive!
Our tutors are fantastic! They have helped all of us secure teaching placements and when in need of extra teaching hours they have helped us to look for work placements.
The variety of teachers we have, all of which have different skills to offer. It is great to have sessions run by different members of staff to add variety to our learning. The staff are really friendly, approachable and are so helpful!
I don't know where are SU is as we are taught at a College I am not sure. I work full time and am studying as part of staff development so I wouldn't have much time to take advantage of this.
We have access to a library which is next door to the classroom we are taught in. All books we need for the course are available to us which is fantastic!
The course is taught in Bridgend- I live in Cardiff so I have the best of both worlds!
Absolutely fabulous- The academic support and pastoral support we get from our tutors is amazing. They are always on hand to help with any problems we have. As most of us are mature students they are really understanding of our situations and accomadating. The counselling and wellbeing team at the college are brilliant!
I really enjoy it, all my tutors are useful and enthusiastic about what they teach, also love how quick i got comfortable with going to uni with having no friends on campus at the beginning
Give me a choice and view of multuple pathways in sports
I enjoy the verify of moduals we study I dont like when people leave early and affect tge class
I havent had the time to get involved tbh
Lots of veriety and well organised
Very good, never been stuck for help
My overall university experience has been very good. However, at the beginning of the year I did not expect the course to be this hard therefore I was underprepared for it. Now, I am starting to get more used the university standards and the course seems better than at the beginning of the year.
The uni give us work experience throughout the year in different environments which gives us more opportunities for jobs in the future.
I like the way in which lessons are carried out and taught. The only thing that I don’t like is that sometimes we can have a lesson cancelled and no cover is put in place.
I don’t think we have one. Or at least I don’t know about it
The facilities are okay. However, they could be better.
The academic and personal support that we receive from out tutors is amazing. They do anything to help us whenever we need them or have a question.
