Very pleased with my experience so far. As a mature student I have been made to feel very welcome and have a good relationship with my peers and tutors. Observation tutors have also been very supportive and flexible in allocating time.
Close contact with my employer to ensure development and progression with teacher observations.
Variety of teaching styles and enthusiasm with delivery of the course.
Full time working so not involved with the union.
Very good. Good access to IT, library and other facilities on campus.
Great mix of demographic.
Great mix of clubs for all music and genres.
Very good support and feedback from tutors. Always on hand to help with any issues. Very positive attitude.
Really good. Placement hours are easy to complete with in a job or volunteering. Library has lots of information. The canteen has lots of choices for food and drink.
Gaining extra curriculum such as volunteering.
Teachers are encouraging and friendly.
Really good, easily accessed.
Really good support. Encouragement on assignments, uni and jobs
Very positive peer group and learning experience. Teaching has been very applicable in my work.
I have paid teaching at the college.
The enthusiasm and support of the teaching team. The constant assessment, starting one assignment as soon as the first is completed.
I don’t want to be involved as a part time student. I have family and work commitments which take priority.
Library and online facilities are good. The campus is clean and welcoming. The building can be a little cold.
I don’t live in the area.
Similarly I am not involved as a part time adult learner.
Tutors are committed and supportive
Alright i travell from 5.30 in the mroning to ger to a 9 lecture which can make me very tired due to us not finishing till 4
Experience and Knowledge is needed
A lot of contraversy due to dairy farming or livestock farming sparks debate every lesson making it impossible to actually learn the curriculum...i think people should be made aware not to be biased when applying
I didnt know we had one
Not enough experince in the animal center and the levels 1 2 and 3 handle the animals way too much when most are nocturnal
Very good although at the start of the year a tutor took a disliking to me, they need to stop treating us like the college kids
It’s been brilliant, nearly finish my first year and I’ve loved Every minute of it!! The whole experience so far as taken me out of my comfort zone but in a good way. If anyone would ask me would I do it again.....in a heart beat I would.
Give you opportunities to increase you cv skills, such as first aid courses ect. They also set up a works placement in your second year which will also be good for the field of work your planning on going into when you finish the course.
The teachers are brilliant, they explain things so you understand them and they give you the materials to help with your assignments throughout the course.
I don’t get involved and wouldn’t know how.
Brilliantly. The libraries are always well stocked with various books. The staff are always on hand to help at any time. They are also easy accessible online.
Busy at times but nothing more than the norm.
Amazing. The tutors are there to help as much as they possibly can. Through going to their office to see them, after lessons and even email at any time. They are extremely supportive and are a credit to the college.
I've really enjoyed the courses I had studied here at Bridgend. They have enabled me to figure out what career I would like to pursue and have equipped me with the skills needed to achieve that.
We have always had the support and guidance of our tutors when helping determine our career path after college
I really like how both practical and theoretical skills are incorporated, which I feel not all courses of this type do. I do wish that we had more structure when it came to giving out assignments and deadlines, as they seem to overlap and I then struggle with time management.
Very good, although student finance can be a little difficult to get answers from at times. There is a good environment, friendly feel throughout the campuses even when you move around to different geographical areas
The course itself is very worked based and this is supplied through Bridgend college or via your own means. The course is very career determined and strives to make you the best you can be. The experiences through class activities allow you to meet scenarios you may not encounter until later in your career, so you care prepared in all elements in your line of work. The help and support of staff is great.
the amount of paperwork can be a little daunting at first along but you soon get used to this and once completed a few times you can get done. The support of tutors is great at Bridgend and they are always available if you have queries or issues.
not involved with student union, I already part of a teachers union so felt I did not require this also.
good facilities through out with wi-fi and use of computers and library resources, and free parking
Exceptional feedback and support from Bridgend with welfare facilities that deal with a massive range of problems . Tutor support is always available even if we push into a weekend!
It’s been great! I enjoy uni very much. I’ve met some great friends and learned a lot not only about the subject but also about myself. I would definitely recommend this uni to my friends
The uni also provides other courses like First aid at Work (FAW) to make their students more employable
I like my course very much, it’s very interesting and the tutors are very good at keeping people interested in each lesson they do.
I don’t get involved in the student union becasue it is on the main campus and I’m not there enough to be part of it
Their great, very helpful
I don’t live in the city
The uni has very good staff, their all very helpful.
Overall I've found it a great experience, knowledge of the industry, working practices and confidence have grown. Great network of friends within the group. Plenty of study trips to cover areas the college may not have facilities to teach.
The tutors ensure that the key elements to the course are relevant to current working practices.
Most- great support network between tutors and students.
Not involved, not widely made aware, mature student with other priorities
Great library Canteen facilities ok Good I.T and HE facilities
Personal - tutors are great with advice for work practices and support with course content. Feedback- could have more regular feedback.
I feel like this course is easily accessible for me rather than going to Pontypridd campus. as Bridgend college is 10 mins from my home. Most staff are brilliant but maybe some need further training in HE courses
Main tutor brilliant always available for advice or guidance. other tutors are unclear with module guidance at times
none no information available about this at campus
good. except not enough course/literature relevant in success centre for HE courses
unsure N/a for me
good in general
