The campus I attend is quite out of the way and not the most up to date facilities compared to the other campus’ that are much more modern (I attend a campus only for higher education) BUT everything else is amazing - support in every aspect, teaching is great and the course content is manageable and interesting.

Bridgend campus always makes us feel very welcoming and safe. There is always a member of staff happy to help with any queries or problems being personal or academic. I feel I have also learned so much on my chosen course and feel I chose the best option for myself by attending Bridgend College. To improve the college I would recommend upgrading the car park as it is very liable to flooding in rainy weather. Apart from that I would not change a thing!

Animal Studies HND

I was so afraid that it'd be like school, with people making fun of me and having no support, but the other students and the staff are so kind. I feel completely comfortable with my classmates even though they're doing a HND course and I'm only doing a HNC course, so I don't see most of them as much as they see eachother. It's easy to navigate and I feel like I can talk to the people around me about pretty much anything. The reception staff are also kind and understanding which makes any queries far easier to understand. As someone with autism, it can also be difficult to open up to people without knowing them for a long time, but I'm more than willing to speak to my tutors because they're so open and friendly

Bridgend College is a brilliant college and I’d recommend it to anyone as it’s incredibly helpful, supportive and the buildings are beautiful. Although they support a lot of students the transport can be a problem as I have to pay for a pass to use their couch’s because I’m on a uni course despite the fact I attend their campus I’m required to pay for a pass or find another way in via public transport or a lift which isn’t always easy or available. However apart from that the college is amazing and the majority of tutors are all so helpful especially those I have on my current course.

I love my course, it’s fascinating and the tutors are brilliant- always having fun and always bringing something new. It is a evening course which works great for me as it fits into my busy schedule. I have a lot of support and it’s my favourite day of the week.

Animal Studies HND

University rating (4)

Great place over all, this year time schedule has been terrible, and a lot of the class feels unsupported during this year and a lot of students that are on the course do not turn up. But teachers are friendly, most are very approachable. First year was much better even during covid and last course that I was on was amazing (level 3, animal care)

The location is great, easy to get to from the M4. It is also a campus college, so it is nice to have everything in one place. The number of teaching staff could be increased to help share the workload, as the lecturers are definitely over worked.

The campus is spacious with a calming view of the surrounding Welsh countryside - the campus facilities host a range of spaces where students can relax and communicate between themselves or with their teachers/staff comfortably and effectively.

There is amazing support and guidance from the tutors / lecturers within this course. However, there is no access of food and beverage for the students who attend after 5pm.

Overall the college is very good, the facilities are beautiful and modern. It's a bit far from where I live, but I like the fact that it's surrounded by nature. Sometimes some teachers don't answer important emails, but fortunately others do. But in general it is a very good place to study.
