Best experience would be the facilities and different societies, worst would probably be that sometimes lecturers or modules are poorly lead and many students can be confused
Placement support feels lackng; so far most do not have a placement despite us having been told it is a requirement to graduate. A positive however is the different modules and opportunities to meet people across your course
The location and rooms best, the gym however is quite small
Best - Seaside Uni, Sports experience and Placement Worst - SportBU gym
Best - placement Worst - ALS
The Best Aspect about BU is the community built around the university, whether your Seminar group, Society or people you meet on a night out. Everyone is great and make the experience of BU a positive one.
All lectures are recorded, which I enjoy it means that if you miss a lecture you are able to catch up very easily.
Everyone here is friendly and helpful!!! They have almost every thing that science students need
The worst part is sometimes but not all the time it gets too overwhelming but other than that it’s really good
I’m gonna be here till i graduate !
Bournemouth university is a lovely place to study, especially with the wonderful location just by the seaside. The facilities are very modern and great to use, as a psychology student I can appreciate the new labs that have been built in the last half decade. There are so many courses to choose from giving students many options, and there is so much support from the university with any problems students may have.
As a full time student I am in 3-4 days a week however there is a large amount of teaching time. Due to the easing restrictions of Covid-19 almost all of my teaching is face to face which makes it a much more immersive experience. The difficulty of each topic taught throughout the year varies, however there is tons of support on exams and Assignments which comes in handy.
The location is spectacular, living right by the seaside and just a walk away from town centre. There is so much to see and do in Bournemouth which makes it a really lovely place to study as there is much to do during your time off of university. Many places offer student discounts or special offers and there is a wide range of clubs and bars for the students who like a good night out
Accommodation is in the perfect location to get anywhere, a 5 minute walk into town and ten minute walk to the beach. Also only a bus ride away to get to the university. Chesil house is an interesting accommodation at least, it is supposed to be the quietest of all accommodations but I can assure you it is definitely not! The common room is a lovely large space with a pool table where I have spent many evenings with my friends before nights out. The laundry facilities are definitely one to be improved, especially as they aren’t the cheapest to run. Rooms are a decent size, and each has an en suite bathroom. Had a few problems with the wifi going down or hot water not working but other than that I’d say Chesil house is pretty good value for money and a perfect place to stay location wise
In terms of best, the university isn’t very good with student support and mental health. But it has pretty good facilities that cater for my course and it’s located in a good place. It’s a pretty decent university, neither good or bad. just decent
There is not a lot of in person time and the lecturers sometimes take quite a while to respond. but the course content is enjoyable is a mixture of practical and theory
The cost of living in bournemouth isn’t exactly cheap in all honesty, the accommodation is expensive too. It’s not a very safe town. I get quite anxious going out alone but it’s not awful. Public transport is very good and lots of buses. I had to find work in another town
It’s pretty good, the staff are nice and i always feel safe and it is located in the centre of town so it’s very convenient. it’s also very social

You don't get taught what you need to be taught, the course doesn't fit with the content. We had a project to do and weren't taught what we needed so failed. Even when we realised we need to add things to it we still hadn't had enough input to pass. The lecturers also leave the brief vague so you can't fully guide yourself with that. They then mark you down on what they told you knowing full well the brief didn't help guide you on what needed to be put into the assignment. It's really horrible.
Uni has been difficult during covid. personally i think lectures should always be recorded, but some lecturers do not lend the time to work out the simple technology of screen recording. personally think the uni should be providing them with microphones that don’t have the sound quality of a potato. the uni itself is okay, clean, but the rooms in the main building are extremely closed with one window that barely opens, to the extent that my head of unit had to leave the door open for air circulation. the timetabling has been pretty poor, with some days lectures in the morning then again at 5-7pm with a massive gap. the lectures themselves are informational, but some do not have much structure.
some lectures are recorded, and some aren’t with no explanation. lab sessions were okay. lecturers are always keen to answer questions during lectures or through email.
plenty of places to eat and drink in winton beach is super close by

The university itself (including facilities) is great and the course is very enjoyable, however Bournemouth itself is only really enjoyable in the summer. There are high crime rates that anyone should be aware of.
Love the course. Especially the final year units are lovely, as they focus on applied psychology areas.
Very high crime rates. The town is quite run down.
Overall great halls, the only negative is the long waiting times for any repairs!
