BIMM is a great university which, contrary to some music unis my friends have gone to, lets students get started using their facilities straight away! The lecturers are very helpful and it is very easy to use the facilities. There is also a great community of like-minded creatives at all times. Unfortunately, BIMM lacks a bit in terms of student life as there is no ‘student union’ area, and not a great deal of space to sit and study within the uni. Additionally there is a disappointing lack of attention towards societies, and not a great deal to choose from.

No words can fully capture how disappointing this place is. The teachers are disengaged, detached, and nearly impossible to connect with—they seem completely burned out. The courses feel hastily written by leaders who appear to have little to no real-world experience. As for administration and structure, it’s utter chaos. Avoid if you’re looking for a meaningful and organised education.

The community feel has gotten much better, and the changes for student life is more inclusive in terms of those who can rent out/ hire equipment and book rooms. I think there is still more to improve on in terms of these, whether it is possible for those who are left without rehearsal rooms to have an additional location to practice in with all the needed equipment without pirate studios as this is heavily in demand and is not possible to book sometimes.

The location of BIMM Brighton is brilliant, easily accessible and right in the city centre. It also offers so mad opportunities for work experience and a chance to network with professionals in the industry. The only thing i’d suggest to improve would be the days the masterclasses are put on

Excellent facility focused on networking and the music industry. Equipped with many instruments, macs and recording softwares and studio. Possibly a more active student union and improved living facilities such as a canteen or upgraded common room (bimm dublin)

Tutors were excellent.

uni is great but facilities need more maintenance and expanding as it seems the number of students is growing but not the number of rooms.

the best things about studying with BIMM is the skills that you learn being able to have a hands on approach to all work practicing in a practical work environment. Also, the people that you meet being able to connect and work as a team to create something that you are proud of.

Great facilities and the city is amazing, especially as a student. However, for the first two years of the course I thought the education was a bit basic compared to stuff we did in college. Not that I'm a super smart student or anything but I already knew most of it.

I feel like clubs and such would be helpful, there probably are some but I haven't been able to find them.
