The annual Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) highlight the incredible work carried out by institutions for their students. Due to Covid restrictions, this year’s awards were not collected on uni campuses as usual, but instead based on submissions from institutions, which were then judged by our special student panel.

Loads of variety of accomodation available, but they are a bit pricey. However, a lot of benefits like free gym is included if you choose to go to university run accomodation. People I have met so far are pretty great. Even though the city is small the sense of community makes up for it.
There have been quiet a few employement fairs and things such as that.
Most - Independence, quiet a lot of free time to revise, socialise and do other things. Least - A bit too independent, everything is up to you, you have to motivate yourself to revise and study. However, if help is needed the lecturers are always there.
So far I think its good.
Some lecture rooms could be better, everything else is good in my opinion.
Besides the hill, everything is nearby.
There are societies that my friends mention that i haven't heard about - there are a lot of societies.
Feedback is always provided even though it can take a while, but its not a big problem considering both the students and staff have a lot of work to do. Personal support is always available.
Post graduate research (PhD) experience has been for the most part a delight. I have excellent adult relationships with my two supervisors. Only blot was the viva.
I found employment on my own. It was a direct outgrowth of the research I was doing.
I have great supervisors.
They do an awful lot.
16 miles is a bit of a stretch, but not uncommon.
I am not really a participant.
going well and hope it will become best in second term and there is alot that international student needs to learn before they come to this university and its should be by uni end
they are very much active and efficient
teachers are very hardworking but one teacher is not as good as others are
i never seen such active societies
Great cant complain what a great time i have had so far and what a place to be and spend time with great people and all the locals are so friendly took a while to get used to that yea love it
They have thebangor employability award which is very helpful
All yhe lectures are great and you can talk to them so easily and so helpful more then they need to be Only the old wood lecture table and chairs are a bit uncomfortable after a while but they are really beautiful not really a complaint

it’s been amazing, i love it so much and there have been no issues w/anything. the registration process was so easy for me, as an internationals from the usa, and i have been able to settle in so easily bc if that.
we get emails a lot and required employability things to do whcih is good- they give us lots of opportunities
i like that the class sizes are super small, i don’t like how sometimes the classes are so long the professors don’t have enough things to fill the time up with
very good! no complaints

Really enjoyable, I've been able to grow and develop meeting new people and leaening new things. I've always been welcomed into everything that I've been a part of and am really happy with Bangor University
Bangor Employability Award
Really good overall, no complainta
My overall experience at university have been amazing as the skills I’ve learnt in lectures and workshops such as using statistical programs such as R studio and SPSS . Bangor is a lovely place as I’ve found so many amazing places to walk or found near by towns that are beautiful. The sports clubs have been the best as I’ve made so many new friends and the training have pushed me out my comfort zones and learnt many new tricks and a new routine at trampolining
The university has employability sessions which you can go to we also have lectures to help us in the careers that we will want to get when we graduate from uni and if you want more experience you can book an appointment with the employability team and they are always happy to help
I like how we get to have field trips and activities during some of the modules which I find helpful as I learn more when doing stuff but the lectures are also great as they interact with us and ask us questions which is helpful as it means that we have to remember and think during the lecture about the module
The student union are good as they are always trying to help better the students daily needs and facilities and make more stuff accessible for students
The university facilities are good and accessible all the time
Bangor uni is in a great place as there’s so many places or towns that’s quite near and everything in Bangor is in walking distance so going to lectures or clubs is really easy as it’s all close by
The sports Bangor have are amazing! I am apart of 2 sports clubs which is Bangor University Trampoline Club and ive been apart of trampolining since first year and it’s such a friendly club and always learning new stuff at training which is amazing and there is a mix of drinking and non drinking socials which is great as there is normally a great turn out for them both I am also apart of Bangor University dance club which I joined in semester 2 of first year and the classes are amazing and the dance sessions are always planned and thought out and we learn a new dance each semester which is so fun to do and we perform them at the dance shows we do
Tutors feedback is amazing when you’ve handed in your work as then you know how to improve or what needs to be done better but also they always gives us positive feedback on the work as well which is amazing as we know what we are doing right . I don’t know much about the personal support they off but I know they have workshops every week and drop in sessions if you need to see someone in counselling but they also have money advisors and mental health advisors if you need help or to speak to someone
As a foreign student, I have the chance to be able to compare the french universitues and the british univerities. I really appreciate my exeprience in a british university, better than my expectations. Especially the sports and societies aspect.
The recordings of lectures are the best for me, as a foreign student, having the chance to hezr it again is perfect. I'd like more tutorials for more challenging works.
They represent us very well, by hearing our needs and taking actions with the means they have.
Very good overall. For sports some specific facilities are missing but we do with what we have.
Yes it is, everything can be done while walking and it's not long.
I never expected so many. Hard to find what is missing.
I have everything I need and I know the staff will always be there for whatever I need.
The best experience of my life, I have met amazing people, I enjoy my social life and the sports that I can do, I don't want to leave the Uni since I have an incredible time
It is boring because of the power point, no debates
They are doing an amazing job
Yes but the hill is making it a bit hard
I could not really understand how 1st semester lasted quickly. Academical period as well as social activities offered by the uni made the time so far pretty nice and funny. Also, that the timetable is not so extensive gave me to have some trips. So, I have had opportunity to know new cultures, places.
I know that there are many opportunities provided by uni employability and career department.
Mostly, tuition with informative and supportive for theoretical lectures field trips organised by the course.
It is really active and supportive to students.
I think that uni administration planned everything as regards students needs.
it is really accessible by walking to reach and almost whole buildings belonging to university locate altogether.
Excellent! events, facilities and organizations about student clubs are pretty contented and adequate to all students having various interest areas. Lastly, they are so over before arriving I expected.
Communication and informing provided by the uni is so nice. They always help us to be aware about academic and social opportunities to support by sending email and via some declaration such as, brochures, boards etc.
