Game Arts & Animation - BA (Hons)

University rating (4)

The uni is a really warm and lovely place to be, student support is straight forward and easy to access. My couple of gripes are that it is so small and tight-knit it isn’t able to offer the kind of student life that the neighbouring uni is able to, just on the basis of being a bigger institution with more historic ties. The students union at AUP is nice and they work hard but by comparison to bigger unis there just isn’t as much going on.

Fashion Design - BA (Hons)

University rating (4)

The university is such a diverse and inclusive space. All ideas whether they seem random or too ‘out there’ the lecturers will help better your ideas and navigate your direction of creation. It’s a lovely and safe space to create and express your ideas :) One thing I’d say is one of the worst things about the uni is the time the library shuts in the evening. Doing a course like fashion design takes a lot of time and effort and being someone who works later in the evenings (where I believe my creativity is at its peak) it is hard to find a quiet and focused place to work on my garments and sketchbook in my flat. I also believe student support should be regularly available with check ups on students and classes - uni can be a very daunting and difficult time in life and I feel if check ups where in place, students would feel supported and more at ease with how uni deadlines may feel.
