Reading is perfect because it's not too big, it's a beautiful campus (like Harry Potter!) and the people and lecturers are really friendly. When I first got here I had trouble with the level of difficulty of French because I had a gap year. 1 e-mail was sent and it was all sorted to change down a level. They let me defer my offer for a year and keep my place in halls. I love the people i've met and the town.

I love university as it is what you make of it. I am part of societies and sports clubs so that would be my advice. Grab every opportunity to get to know people and give everything a go - you will regret it if you don't. Work hard, play hard!

I appreciate the community spirit around the university. It is easy to talk to everyone and inter-year relations are great. My advice would be that you shouldn't be scared to talk to someone because they are in a different year/class/part of the room because everyone is friendly.

I think that the univeristy is a very good university. I can't fault anything at Reading and have a lot of fun in amongst the workload. I would recommend students to come in and I hope that they have as much fun as I am having.

The societies are a really good opportunity to meet people and are really helpful to a positive university experience. I do Road cycling and it is great fun. My advice is to get people to join societies. I hadn't done Road cycling before but love it now.

I love Reading university, it is fantastic! The job prospects for my course are a lot higher at Reading than other places I looked at and general university life here is amazing. Definitely recommend going out and getting involved as much as possible, especially with your housemates and people in your halls as you will spend the most time with them.

Before coming to university you should choose a uni and city carefully that you would be happy to spend 3 years of your life at. When you get here you should make sure you get a good balance of nightlife and university studying.

Reading University is great and relaxed. Make sure you come with an open mind and try out as many of the clubs & societies as possible. You can go and let your hair down at the Union on a Wednesday and Saturday but you need people to go with so join the societies first.

I am having a wonderful experience at Reading. The campus is amazing and full of brilliant facilities like the library, SU and Park Bar. I would advise choosing halls with the most amount of people because then you have more people to socialise with.

Overall I think Reading is a good place to go but it's got room for improvement. I don't rate the clubs as they are really cliquey. Job prospects on my course are terrible as well which I didn't find out until too late. Good campus, SU and uni makes up for it though.
