Accounting and Finance

I’m really enjoying my time at NTU! The academic environment is fantastic—lecturers are passionate about their subjects, and the courses are engaging and well-structured. There’s plenty of support available, whether it’s academic help, career advice, or mental health services. The social side is also a huge plus! There are so many societies, sports teams, and events that make it easy to meet new people and get involved. The campus itself is a great place to study, with modern facilities, good libraries, and plenty of study spaces.

Filmmaking - BA (Hons)

Studying filmmaking at my university has been an incredible experience, offering both theoretical and practical knowledge. The curriculum is well-structured, providing deep insights into film theory, history, and emerging cinematic trends. I have had the chance to explore new theoretical perspectives that challenge traditional storytelling methods, which has greatly enriched my understanding of cinema. One of the best aspects of my university is the access to state-of-the-art technical facilities. The recently built studios are fully equipped with professional-grade cameras, lighting, and sound equipment, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools. This has been particularly helpful for developing my technical skills and experimenting with different filmmaking techniques. Beyond the academic and technical aspects, the university provides excellent networking opportunities. There are regular industry events, guest lectures, and workshops where students can connect with professionals and peers, which is crucial for building a career in the film industry. The city itself adds to the experience—it’s vibrant, beautiful, and filled with creative energy. The people here are open-minded, friendly, and always up for meaningful conversations, making it a great place to live and study.

Global Executive MBA

Nottingham Trent University is in a brilliant spot – right in the centre of Nottingham, so everything's just a short walk away. I really appreciate the modern facilities; they've got everything I need without any hassle. The teaching is excellent, and the course content is both practical and engaging. My MBA has been particularly rewarding, offering insights into the market while also making me think about the kind of leader I want to be. Overall, it's been a very positive experience. That said, there are a couple of areas that could use a bit of work. For instance, the Student Union seems geared mainly towards undergraduates, and as a postgraduate, I often feel that our needs aren't quite met. It would be great to see more events and activities that cater specifically to mature students. The food options could also be better – the meal deals aren't very healthy, and there's a shortage of affordable, nutritious choices. Lastly, while the sports facilities and gym memberships are decent, the best gym is in Clifton, making it a bit of a hassle to get there on a daily basis.
