The community feeling at campuses and off campus, support from students and staff everyone feels valued and they belong. Dislike the new change to a different campus after two years of study, Im now facing a 40+ minute drive to another campus when I’ve set my life up in and around my previous campus

The best aspects of my university experience has definitely been the societies, and all the amazing study spaces I have access to. The worst aspect of my experience has been in regards to coursework and requesting help from lecturers, as the specifications are often vague and the answers received contradictory.

The campus is quite far from where I live, and if I stay for events, I come home at a later times and my area is unsafe, so I don’t really go to university events anymore. Though I do enjoy the buildings of the campus and the facilities.

Good location but the sea - mix of city and sea I think Plymouth University has a lot of positive aspects, especially because it is based in an affordable coastal city, which makes student life more manageable financially. I like that the university is known for strong subjects such as marine science, environmental studies and engineering, and I appreciate the supportive lecturers and practical approach to learning. The campus feels friendly, and being close to the sea and outdoor spaces is a big advantage for relaxing outside of studies. However, I am aware that the university’s rankings are generally mid-range, and the overall experience can vary depending on the course. I also feel that Plymouth is quieter than larger cities, which means there is less nightlife and entertainment, something that might not suit everyone.

Supportive learning environment, approachable staff, and strong sense of community among students. The facilities and resources make it easy to focus and succeed, and there are plenty of opportunities for both academic and personal growth. One area for improvement could be increasing access to practical learning opportunities such as internships, workshops, or real-world projects.

Study spaces get very crowded and busy. However the facilities are always clean and nice. There is a lot of student support on offer and is advertised well. The location is very nice with loads of shops and cafes near by. Transport links are also very good.

I feel that I have still learned a lot, but many of the assessments have been changed from practice assessments to essays or tests. I just can’t wait to be on campus because I know it will be so much better. I can’t give a proper opinion until I see what everything is like for myself
