PROS - The university has been absolutely stellar at providing opportunities to those who put in that extra effort. - Support, particularly the maths gym provided by the uni for those needing extra math tuition is an incredible resource. - Lecturers are always quick to respond to questions and available for feedback out with timetabled classes. - The facilities available to electrical engineering students (the GRiD in particular) is very good. More advanced equipment is available to those who require it through research projects or other related endeavours. - The university shop and various cafes/canteens all have quality products and competitive prices. CONS - Some course have suffered when lecturers are delivering them for their first time. This is understandable however. - Issues with inaccurate or frequently fluctuating timetables can be frustrating at times.

A lot of the courses aren't really standardised. Some use Moodle a lot, some don't. Though that might also be the lecturers trying to customise it to their teaching style. Lecturers are a mixed bag. Some read directly from slides, others actually try and engage with the class. Depends on what subject.

The best aspects are: The campus itself, its really beautiful and really nice to be around so much nature. The societies on offer are brilliant because there are so many options and each one of them are properly run by enthusiastic people, plus they are very cheap to join. The sports clubs are also amazing with lots of options to choose from and you can meet people with similar hobbies. The worst aspects are: The buildings themselves can be very confusing and they do not look good from the outside. However the updated interior makes them very modern from the inside. There isn't a lot of space to study or eat because it is often very busy in the atrium which can be annoying.

The atmosphere at this university is great! The union is always lively, with pool and darts, hot food, music and lots of room for socialising. Even when in class it feels great, the lectures are always informative and the seminars mean that the tutors can really help and talk to the students. I like the fact that each semester the students can choose their own seminar times, creating a timetable that suits their schedule. The location of this university is one of my favourite things, such a close walk to the main shopping street and some great places for food. Also close to to GCU which is great as the students can mix and hang out together. Overall this university is a great place to apply and i am very happy with the decision i made!

Great all round university with great balance of city and rurally located. Transport wise, its great within city. Although, it lacks proper parking for rurally located people (where public transport is not an option/viable option) as requires permit. To resolve this, a multistory carpark could be implemented or more bus links/shuttlebuses from locations outside of the city. The lack of public transport outside the city is a problem anyway, so may be worth considering relocating to city for duration of course. With regards to course, having already been a student previously, there are a lot more support systems in place to help aid students. Moreover, compared to other universities, the staff are more than happy to help. The small knit feel of the University and the city provides a homely lifestyle, easily and effortlessly. This is only furthered by the diversity of culture within the city and shire. The union is great, the staff are approachable and friendly. From initially becoming a student to my time here now, however, the union seems to be downsizing. I feel that this is an absolute shame as it provides an independent aspect to life as a student. It, in my opinion, has reduced the quality of student life as it miminises a student voice, independent of the university. That being said, there is a great range of mental health facilities in place now to enhance student lifestyle auch as free gym membership for students.

Tutors are lovely but the only thing that could be improved is the support for the English and the rest of the students who are not from Scotland. It's took me 3 years to get help for my dyslexia and that is because I have to pay for it.

Student safety and community feel is very strong. Lots of history surrounding the university and the town is beautiful. To improve I would have better transport for student to move between town and the nearest cities (like Edinburgh), better nightlife for the students and more accomodation.

The facilities are great, we have access to everything we need for our coursework and more. There is a gym and loads of options for sport. The uni holds events for all sorts of holidays and activities. The student union is really supportive. There are great initiatives for sustainability. Student life separate from the uni, as far as I’ve noticed, is very nightlife based but that might just be because I haven’t explored enough.

As a first year student from Pakistan, my experience at Stirling University has been overwhelmingly positive. Best Aspects: The diverse, friendly community has been incredibly welcoming, making the transition to a new country much easier. The campus environment, especially the beautiful loch and surrounding nature, provides a calm and inspiring study atmosphere. The academic staff in my program have also been supportive and engaging. Worst Aspects & Improvement: The main area for improvement is the initial administrative process for international students, which felt slightly complicated. Clearer guidance and a more streamlined onboarding system would greatly enhance the start of the student journey. Overall, it's a great place to study.

I love the city in general. The University's libraries are good. with proper facilities that I can use, such as discussion rooms, computers, printers, even 3D printer! Some buildings look so old but in positive ways, make them look classic and cultured. However, in my own experience, some classrooms are a little bit aged. i mean, like some chairs are feel old, they are sometimes kind of wobbly, and some of them do not have enough leg room. Main library can be crowded when exam days come, but I think that is something that can not be avoided. i think it is good to add some space for classrooms or some like study hubs.
