Science postgraduate degrees in Northern England

The staff, peer guides, students etc... Have been very supportive! They help whenever they can and provide the necessary information to succeed. The lectures halls and class rooms and labs are very well maintained, everyone is punctual, they are very good at communication and answering follow up questions. Overall the staff and people at MMU are the highlight of the university overall. However some things that would need to be improved on is the washrooms. They're quite small and often extremely wet or sometimes dirty. This is not the case every where or in every washroom however it seems to be a pretty consistent thing regarding bathrooms. I understand and appreciate the cleaner and staff are doing their best though, and it's a mainly student on student issue. However the general size of the bathrooms is small, especially the ones near the stairwells.

The staff I have met so far as well as the facilities available (especially Adsetts Library & the new buildings) have been amazing and have provided an excellent environment for learning. I will say though that this review is incomplete, mainly due to the fact that the Student Union is in the process of moving location and so I haven't experienced it a lot. There is a cost of living shop though and the staff are really nice.

I find the amount of support from academic to international and student representative support so immense and it made coping and adjusting to the new environment very easy. The uniskills and library services here is top notch and staff here are very helpful and give guidance when needed. One thing that can be improved is creating more part time job opportunities for students especially international students.

The lecturers are lively and interactive. We had the opportunity to share our experiences at the student cafe and I love that they took note of students concerns. Generally the campus life is quite engaging.

The university is diversified and inclusive, welcoming international student from all over the world, with staff who are ready to listen and create a bespoke learning experience for student The ambience if the university is serene, feee from urban stress and traffic hereby creating a relaxed environment For learning. The university has a broad range of campus activities to build the socio-academic lifestyle of student and prepare them for the world outside the university

I love our uni. However, this year the study spaces have deteriorated in quality. This is mainly due to the library spaces being reduced in opening times. Exam season was already heaving with students in the Marjorie and Phil last year. This year we‘re going to see way less space availability and students will have to retaliate to studying at home which proves impossible for some. Also the fact that we cant eat our lunch in spoons is crazy. That needs readjusting

This is my 2nd week studying at UOM I’d say the best aspect of uni experience so far is being welcomed as an international student got lots of support academically and personally. Worst maybe the lectures are more of self taught which is fine as I’m doing a postgraduate degree.
