Best aspects would definitely be the people and the location. By the beach but with safe and lively night life, which in my opinion is important for most undergrad students, also the welsh are lovely and friendly. It depends on the area but overall the city feels extremely safe which was important for me. Some of the buildings on the old campus (singleton) look a bit run-down especially when the sun isn't out so it might be worth them revamping some buildings to make certain parts look less depressing. But again thats only a few, and the walk to campus is lovely especially as theres a massive park/green space right next to campus, with a 2 minute detour taking you right to the beach. Can't say too much on the students' union because it looks good but i havent really engaged with it. They always have some sort of event going on but honestly i havent been to many, so maybe the events could be more engaging so more people including myself would go.

To improve the overall university experience, the school could create more meaningful opportunities for interaction between international and local students—such as mixed housing, structured cultural exchange events, and more inclusive campus activities that help everyone feel truly connected and engaged.

The location in central London not far from where the UKs decisions are made is amazing. The library has most of the resources I need and if you can’t find something the library staff will happily try and make it available. The thing where the uni lets us down the most is admin.

WIFI is absolutely awful and there are many dead zones around campus. How can a top-level engineering university provide such poor internet connection, especially when all of our assignments are internet based and due online? I am constantly searching for places around campus with any useable connection and the VPN speeds when you're off campus are just unusable. It's the year 2024. How have we not figured this out yet? It's absolutely unaccusable. You have the money to build an entire new campus, but can't fix the internet at your main campus? Awful.

The commute links are very convenient as someone who has to travel from peripheries of Manchester .St James campus is very arranged and plentiful spaces and resources for students like myself however I must say there isn’t much of a social aspect example societies or events going on I believe due to it not being Edge Hills main campus However since my course is placement based when we do arrive to campus we naturally socialise and she one another’s experiences .Overall Univeristy social aspect is amazing considering lots of places to go since on Oxford Road Would be nice to have some events or even go to Main campus as a whole

The careers and employability team supported me in creating my first CV in my first year, securing part-time work in the city, and gaining clarity about my long-term goals. Even after graduating, their continued guidance has helped me align my interests with meaningful career opportunities, demonstrating the university’s genuine investment in its students’ futures. Beyond academics, student societies were central to my experience at Brighton. Through joining different societies, I was able to explore my interests outside the classroom, build friendships across disciplines, and feel part of a wider, supportive student community. The connections I formed and the memories created through shared activities became some of the most meaningful and rewarding parts of my university experience. Having access to three distinct campuses across the city further enriched my experience. The City Campus offered a creative and cosmopolitan environment, surrounded by Brighton’s thriving arts and social scene. Moulsecoomb Campus provided a more urban and academic atmosphere, conveniently positioned between the city centre and Falmer. Falmer Campus felt like a traditional campus university, with expansive green spaces, a strong sense of community, excellent facilities, and the Amex Stadium nearby, creating a unique blend of campus life and local pride. Across all campuses, the facilities are well maintained and thoughtfully designed, with excellent access to libraries, study spaces, and up-to-date equipment that support both academic success and student wellbeing. Reflecting on my overall experience, the University of Brighton offered far more than a degree. It provided a supportive environment in which I could grow academically, professionally, and personally, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to students seeking a university that truly invests in their development.
