PGDE Primary postgraduate degrees in South West England

I attend UOG Francis Close Hall campus and it's so incredibly inspiring. It's a great oldy-worldy historical site and it was really the deal-breaker for me choosing UOG; although my course mates and I were severely let down when we were told we would have to move to Oxstalls campus in Gloucester... we managed to get the union involved but only managed to get it pushed back a year for us, all new students in September for social science will be in Oxstalls and won't get to experience the beauty of FCH. Such a shame. Despite this, the facilities are amazing, staff are equipped with great knowledge and are all incredibly friendly. All students are friendly and light-minded, it's a great environment to study in and socialise. I commute so I cannot speak on the social side of student accommodation and/or going out, but as a commuter it meets all my needs! I really recommend studying here, the lecturers know what they're talking about, and are amazing at illustrating theories and concepts in ways that make sense.

There should be more support for international students, the lack of staff specialized on matter regarding visas and financial support for international students makes the whole university experience feel more overwhelming and stressful.

My first year studying Banking and Finance at UWE has provided a highly robust foundation in capital markets and financial systems. The absolute best aspect is the practical application of macroeconomic theories and the rigorous analytical frameworks taught by the faculty. The facilities, particularly the trading room simulations, offer excellent asymmetric upside for developing real-world quantitative skills. If I had to suggest an area for improvement, it would simply be expanding the availability of niche financial technology modules earlier in the undergraduate curriculum to stay ahead of market trends. Overall, an excellent ROI for my educational capital, and Alhamdulillah for the highly supportive environment.

I like that Marjon is a small uni, it gives me the opportunity to have that 1 to 1 with my lecturer especially when I’m in crisis. I also love the feel of community at Marjon, because it’s so small I can have a real impact on the community. However, I have a difficulty within student support. I put in an EC for one of my assignments but, it wasn’t accepted until 2 working days after the extended deadline even though I followed it up twice.
