I would like to see more free facilities for those students who really struggle financially, who have come from broken families or have no family. Extra support in those areas, not just mental health. People go hungry too and can't afford the basic needs or travel to get from uni to home. I know they are putting things in place, but just a couple of things to consider.

The university offers great financial and mental health support. It has course reps to keep on enhancing the quality of student life, as a course I am able to communicate in meetings of problems (if any) around my course. The university keeps me well informed about anything happening at university which makes me feel like I’m part of DMU. The personal tutors make sure that they are accessible to their students. In terms of how it could be improved would be the lecture halls, to make them look more motivating.

My university experience had its highs and lows. The best part was the supportive academic environment, with passionate lecturers and plenty of resources like well-equipped libraries and study spaces. The vibrant campus life, with diverse clubs and events, made it a great place to meet people and grow personally. However, there were some downsides, like the high cost of living and occasional administrative delays, which could be frustrating. Improving affordability and streamlining student support services would make the experience even better overall.

Best aspect is the wonderful array of societies and extra curricular activities on campus, including my personal favourite Musicality! Worst part is probably the obscene charge for student card replacements, mine was stolen and I was still asked to pay £15!
