The best aspects of my university experience have been the sense of community and the opportunities for personal and academic growth. My course is taught by passionate lecturers who make the subject feel relevant and engaging, and I’ve appreciated how approachable most staff are when I need help. There are also plenty of extracurricular activities and societies, which made it easy to meet people with similar interests. The campus facilities—like the library, study spaces, and wellbeing services—have also been a big part of what makes it a great place to study. In terms of what could be improved, there are a few key areas. Communication between departments could sometimes be clearer, especially around deadlines and timetable changes. At busy times of the year, access to study spaces can become limited, and more quiet areas or longer opening hours would make a difference. It would also help if there were more practical, hands-on learning opportunities such as placements, workshops, or industry links, as these really enhance understanding and employability. Overall, the university offers a supportive and stimulating environment, but with better organisation and more resources during peak periods, the student experience could be even stronger.

Times have been tough for all students around the world with covid these days. I have moved to England initially to travel and be closer to family in Poland. Instead I have stranded myself away from family and friends on an island. All is well though because I am finding support networks at my uni and through meeting new friends. I really hope classes at school will continue next year, online teaching has not been the most exciting or engaging.

What makes my uni a great place to study is their student support. They try to help their students in any way possible to ensure that students get the best out of their education. I think it would be better if the university put more effort into societies and clubs such as sporting clubs and teams . It would help the university to have more of a community and really showcase other talents other than what students already study on their courses. My university do have societies and some sporting teams, however some of the societies don’t run anymore and it’s not made to be as big as it was when I first heard about it before I joined uni. I think it’s important to have that feel of community and university culture and to also show the inclusiveness of different cultures, groups and activities in which people associate them selves with.

Best: well-rounded, educated lecturers that are enthusiastic about contributing to our learning; lots of societies providing opportunities Worst: assessors for written assignments and PBL tutors tend to not give a level playing field for marking/educating - we don't get taught exactly the same things as the rest of our cohort, it is tutor dependent (PBL, clinical skills, etc)

I'm an optometry student entering my third year in September 2024. The lecturers are very nice and supportive; however, the optometry students in Group C are extremely rude, disrespectful, and lack any sort of manners. Many of them speak poorly of you if you fall behind or are slow in your routine, and they refuse to collaborate despite knowing that practice is essential for skill improvement.

University of Greenwich focuses a lot on diversity and inclusion. There are a lot of services available in relation to that, wellbeing, inclusion plans and other things to make your experience at the University more manageable/enjoyable. There are plenty of opportunities for learning and discovering and I have felt right at home from the beginning. I tend to feel like an outsider but the environment and support here has been great. I tend to be an independent worker and both during my masters and now during my PhD I have gotten plenty of opportunity to work both with others and to work by myself. This helped me develop better team working and working with others but given me the space to choose how much I want to do independently myself. One aspect I have had repeated issues with is the fact that the university's beaurocracy is a very slow progres and I have had to wait extended periods of time for replies or help with different things in relation to application, registration, feedback & hierarchical matters.

I recently completed the Level 4 Diploma in Business Management from the London School of Planning and Management (LSPM), and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Firstly, the course content was incredibly comprehensive and up-to-date with the latest industry standards. Each module provided valuable insights into various aspects of business management, from leadership and strategic planning to marketing and finance. The materials were well-structured and easy to follow, making the learning process both enjoyable and effective. Moreover, I was highly impressed by the support provided by the LSPM team throughout my studies. From the initial enquiry stage to graduation, their staff was always readily available to answer any queries and offer assistance whenever needed. The tutors were knowledgeable and approachable, providing invaluable guidance and feedback to help me excel in my studies. Additionally, the flexibility of the course allowed me to study at my own pace while juggling work and personal commitments. Whether it was accessing online resources or attending virtual lectures, LSPM made it convenient for me to pursue further education without disrupting my daily routine. I feel that I have still learned a lot, but many of the assessments have been changed from practice assessments to essays or tests. I just can’t wait to be on campus because I know it will be so much better. I can’t give a proper opinion until I see what everything is like for myself
