Mental Health and Addiction Nursing postgraduate degrees

I find my university a great place to study because they have so much systems in place to help and support students through university life. So far I can’t find any fault because I have access to so much learning materials and support with wellbeing.

I like the campus and the location, and I’ve made some amazing friends. WiFi is not the best in some places. John Galsworthy building is constantly boiling. The lifts are very slow, and the system isn’t the best. Drinks are very expensive.

I didn’t realise my accommodation would be so far from my University campus. I feel like there was a lack of communication there, after speaking to other students they also had the same issue. As a result I spend quite a lot on transport which is money I could have used to feed myself every week.

The staff, peer guides, students etc... Have been very supportive! They help whenever they can and provide the necessary information to succeed. The lectures halls and class rooms and labs are very well maintained, everyone is punctual, they are very good at communication and answering follow up questions. Overall the staff and people at MMU are the highlight of the university overall. However some things that would need to be improved on is the washrooms. They're quite small and often extremely wet or sometimes dirty. This is not the case every where or in every washroom however it seems to be a pretty consistent thing regarding bathrooms. I understand and appreciate the cleaner and staff are doing their best though, and it's a mainly student on student issue. However the general size of the bathrooms is small, especially the ones near the stairwells.

For what Bournemouth lacks in name it makes up for it with the great student support and environment of the university. Every staff member and facilities are easy to access or talk to. The career hub is super useful and honestly a massive positive, not to mention the very efficient medical center and student union finance support team for students. The bursaries are generous in my opinion and I honestly could not have made it otherwise. The pastoral care is unmatched in my opinion. Safety on campus is great. the student union always has stuff going on, ALWAYS, like a bread and bakery stall on some mornings, lots of international events too, being from France it made me feel quite at home at time. The teaching isn't awful, not the best either, maybe it's my course, but the option and units are interesting. The university reputation is average at best, but like I said they make up for it in other ways. The area is nice, it's a student town, with the beach, I personally like it, and the transport system is very very reliable and efficient.

For someone who has to live for the first time away from their family, that too in a new country. Bangor really welcomed me with open arms. From International Student Staff to the fraternity, everyone is so sweet and helpful. I love that they make you feel at home. Even if you’ve the slightest doubt , they are there to help you with it. I’m happy that I’m surrounded by such great people.

the location is very convienient and is very close to many shops. However the Hallam Help Desk is not very convinient and only give info that can already be found or a number that says info already on the site(s). However the teachers are helpful at saying where to get help and request specifics. The lessons are also nice as they allow conversations between the class about the subject and leszon along with help from the teachers.

One of the best parts of my university experience has been the supportive and engaging learning environment. The lecturers are approachable and genuinely passionate about their subjects, which makes studying much more enjoyable. The diversity of students also creates a vibrant community — I’ve met people from all over the world and learned so much from their perspectives. The campus facilities, such as the library and study spaces, are excellent and make it easy to focus and collaborate.
