I'm an optometry student entering my third year in September 2024. The lecturers are very nice and supportive; however, the optometry students in Group C are extremely rude, disrespectful, and lack any sort of manners. Many of them speak poorly of you if you fall behind or are slow in your routine, and they refuse to collaborate despite knowing that practice is essential for skill improvement.

The lecturers are really approachable and want you to succeed. It feels really inclusive and diversity is appreciated. Being so close to Manchester there's lots going on and good transport links. The only real criticism I have is the use of online lectures, how ever much they try, they aren't as condusive to learning as in person lectures are especially if you have difficulties with concentration. I understand that universities are trying to find ways to cut costs but I feel that this detracts from the whole student experience both academically and socially.

My best experience at the university of East London is the student hub. Every time when I had any kind of confusion or difficulties, I went to the student hub. Staff at student hub are extremely polite and cooperative. I faced difficulty in finding the lecture class at the university.

From my opinion I would say ARU is praised for its supportive staff, modern facilities, diverse community, and strong career services. However, areas for improvement include communication responsiveness, consistency in course delivery, better promotion of extracurricular activities, and some accommodation and facility concerns. Overall, it offers a positive student experience with room for enhancement in certain aspects.

Best is for sure location and teaching. So central so have access to all the main parts of the city. Plus teaching standard is good, can feel it when comparing the same degree with other universities (always feel more well rounded). Worst is the campus and SU. Just feels small and lacks integration with the students. Feel like you attend classes in the city, not that you are part of a university

The library is great and has lots of brilliant resources, however there is a lack of seating for actual studying. The staff have been nothing but lovely and if I've needed IT support the IT support team have been there to help whenever I need it.

It is overall a good Uni with lots of well funded resources and opportunities. To improve it would need to put a greater store in supporting its ND students and taking a more student centric view of its curriculum. It currently has a do or die survival of the fittest approach rather than building a framework for success and guiding students to prosper.

I love the campus and the atmosphere we have. its a beautiful place to study and i have enjoyed my time here. All the staff are wonderful, I have a brilliant supervisors and enjoy my course. I have learnt a lot whilst at Lancaster However, i find that the student union is broken, it does not uphold its own beliefs. The societies may work but the actual student union body is useless. it needs and overhall, and needs attention brought to the actions of the staff and how people follow their regulations.

Best breakdown on Tuition fee for International Student and Getting better on Teaching and learning. The university takes a long time to respond to claims. Also feedback is given back sparsely and it takes a long time to get back which makes it difficult to improve for future assignments. The labs are very nice and it is good that we are learning multiple different techniques. The student life and feel is also very nice. And even though there is limited study space on campus especially during exam time, if you get to the library early enough you will find a seat somewhere.
