What students say about materials-engineering

Best Aspect: The best part of my university experience has been the opportunity to meet people from diverse backgrounds. Working on group projects with students from different cultures and academic disciplines has not only expanded my perspective but also helped me grow personally and professionally. Worst Aspect: The most challenging part was managing workload during peak assessment periods. At times, deadlines for multiple modules would clash, leading to stress and late nights. However, I eventually learned time management strategies that helped me stay on top of tasks.

What students say about materials-engineering

The course curriculum is designed well to lay the foundations of various subjects in 1st sem, and we apply those learnings during our assignments and in the 2nd sem. It is more practical learning with hands-on approach on group projects and industry collaborations in the 2nd sem. The staffs are brilliant and incredibly supportive. There are lots of facilities and societies for extra curriculars. The university is situated near the city centre and so it is in a very good location. People in the town are very kind. Overall, I am having a great experience in the university.

What students say about materials-engineering

The university takes a long time to respond to claims. Also feedback is given back sparsely and it takes a long time to get back which makes it difficult to improve for future assignments. The labs are very nice and it is good that we are learning multiple different techniques. The student life and feel is also very nice. And even though there is limited study space on campus especially during exam time, if you get to the library early enough you will find a seat somewhere.

The Students Union is honestly the best part of the University of Sheffield. With over 300 societies, you're sure to find something to your liking. Apart from that, the university has great facilities and the Diamond (engineering building) has anything you could ever need. 10/10 uni.
