I'm an optometry student entering my third year in September 2024. The lecturers are very nice and supportive; however, the optometry students in Group C are extremely rude, disrespectful, and lack any sort of manners. Many of them speak poorly of you if you fall behind or are slow in your routine, and they refuse to collaborate despite knowing that practice is essential for skill improvement.

The best aspect is the location, smallish campus and town makes for a great sense of community. Close proximity to London and great town centre with safe nightlife. The worst aspect is the campus aesthetic, not pretty as most of it seems to have been built at once in a brutalist style. This being said, the greenspace by the lake is lovely and the rest of campus is easily navigable.

Campus, access to central London, Greenwich Town atmosphere, resources and support available, peaceful. Organisation, cleanliness, and aesthetic of university advertisements and facilities could be improved on to reflect the university’s most recent logo and paying attention to the small details

My experience at Brunel University is very different from any other student, I would guess. As a mature student, I have other life commitments, and don't spend as much time on campus. However, whenever I needed the support, I had a very satisfactory level of support.

I love how my uni has an employability focus and encourages students to reach their max potential through various schemes such as Future Ready career mentorship, Westminster Working Cultures and Westminster Employability Award

The location in central London not far from where the UKs decisions are made is amazing. The library has most of the resources I need and if you can’t find something the library staff will happily try and make it available. The thing where the uni lets us down the most is admin.
