Leisure and Sports Facilities Work postgraduate degrees in South East England

The support Brighton Uni has given me so much support with this course and made it very clear who to contact if any issues arise. I also know from friends how incredibly supportive and sympathetic the uni has been when they have experienced personal issues. This is my second Uni I have studied at, and Brighton is far better with the support it gives its students compared to the first one.

London is a multicultural society. Students from different countries come here to study. So studying in London met makes me experience different cultures heritage and new languages. I love studying in London met and the teaching staff is helpful and friendly.

One of the best aspects of my experience at Queen Mary University of London has been the academic quality of the programme. The Corporate Finance curriculum is rigorous and analytical, which has helped me strengthen my technical and critical thinking skills. I also really value studying in London, as it provides exposure to a global financial environment and diverse international perspectives inside and outside the classroom. The student body is very multicultural, which makes discussions richer and more engaging. In terms of improvement, I think there could be more structured networking and career-focused events specifically tailored to postgraduate finance students. While there are opportunities available, clearer guidance and more direct connections with industry professionals would make the experience even stronger. Overall, it is a great place to study, but enhancing career support for specialised master’s programmes would add significant value.

Overall my experience was very positive. Most of my professors were engaging, I met fantastic peers, and participated in extra-curriculars. There does seem to be a disjoint in the calibre of students at times however, and students who blatantly disrespect others or fail to produce team work are not reprimanded or held to task by the university. If you're stuck with a difficult team, no additional support will be provided to you except to, 'apply a growth mindset'.
