There are excellent lecturers and student support services (particularly academic skills). The campus has a good feel and has a lot of outdoor seating which will be nice when the weather is warm. Lecture rooms are good but the seats are very uncomfortable. There is little impact from the students' union, for example there was no 'refreshers fayre' for January intake students, which also impacts the student life score.

University of Hull has a beautiful and serene environment suitable for learning and even relaxing. The lecturers are very warm and receptive. Things that could be improved: student union (I don’t really see what they do, I’m sorry); the university should make arrangements with more landlords in order to make students living easier; Timetable should be more flexible (we asked for a change in my department but nothing was done)

Best aspects: The university provides a supportive learning environment with helpful lecturers and good academic resources. The campus is generally welcoming, and there are plenty of opportunities to develop skills both academically and personally. Worst aspects / Improvements: One issue that needs improvement is the heating and hot water system, as it does not always work properly. At times, students only have access to cold water, which can be uncomfortable and difficult, especially for students who are sensitive or have health issues related to cold temperatures. Best aspect: amazing facilities, highly professional tutors and staffs, everyone seems to have good heads on their shoulders. High teaching standard and it's nice meeting people from other cultural settlements. Worst aspect: more of a recommendation, extracurricular activities to establish a better inculcation, especially for foreign students. For instance, city tour for foreign students, debates, sports etc, this will facilitate better friendship between students

I think I would have preferred going into university as I can meet my class mates and lecturers and have a more engaged time. My lecturers have been fantastic despite virtual learning as they have been doing the best they can. The university keeps us updated with announcements and offers support during this difficult time.

What makes it a great place to study: Many study places, great teachers, good learning environment What can improve: 1. faith space especially for Muslim we have to pray 5 times a day, the prayer space is not in every building and walking from one building to another takes time. The wudhu space is also only available in Manchester Museum, so we have to use the public washroom to make wudhu 2. The study space, there are many plugs that are not working either in Main Library and Alan Gilbert Learning Commons (not sure about other places), so I hope it’ll get fixed 3. So many websites, I hope there’ll be one integrated space that student can check everything without having to jump from one website to another
