Legal Studies postgraduate degrees

My university experience had both highs and lows. I enjoyed learning new things, meeting people, and working on projects, which helped me grow personally and academically. At the same time, challenges like heavy workloads and occasional disorganization taught me resilience and time management, making the experience overall valuable and formative.

The campus and SU organisations are good, everything’s close and my acom (hickling) is really nice. However as spacious as the library is it could be renovated both inside and outside as it is very bland on the outside

Best: A beautiful campus with a relaxed, coastal atmosphere, great study spaces, and a strong sense of community. The location by the beach is a real highlight, and student support services are approachable and helpful. Worst: Some facilities and services can be slow during busy periods, and campus life can feel quiet outside term time. Better coordination of services and more on-campus activities would improve the experience.

Mostly very good experience but to warmup food there are no microwaves at all ( a tiny one in student union ) and we need access to hot water in all the buildings for hot drink as it’s very expensive for a student to spend on hot drinks in winter

The activities organised by the school for MBA students is impeccable. From industry seminars, to skills workshops and immersive group bonding events it’s truly been amazing. One area of improvement would be for the school to partner with institutions for secure placement opportunities for their students, especially international students so their learning experience is robust and seamless.

All staff in university is eager to help you with any kind of questions or problems. At lectures teachers are really engaging and supportive. You never notice how quick time flies during lectures. Especially, before any assignments you are given every detail about it, so you are well prepared and not scared at all. Birkbeck suggests a lot of opportunities for busy social life, where you can meet lots of enthusiastic people, and opportunities for future career such as additional workshops, professional guests, etc. I love being a part of this community!
