Learning Design and Development postgraduate degrees in Southern England

I think the best part of my university experience has been the amount of opportunities I've had in terms of my learning and outside student life. My teachers have also been absolutely amazing and so helpful. I feel like we are given excellent direction on assignments and we aren't just left to do it on our own and figure it out ourselves. However, I think the university could be improved in terms of support for GIP students. As a GIP student, I feel like I do not have great access to my own attendance and on multiple occasions it has been a struggle to get authorised absences for myself. I feel like the system for reporting absences needs to be simpler and it makes me anxious knowing some of my absences are red when they shouldn't be as my medical condition has made it impossible to get into class that day. I had one meeting with a lady before I started the university where we went over things like absences and then I never heard from her again? She said she would sort out implications for me so it would be easier to get time off and not be penalised for it but I never heard from her again.

Firstly, The University of Gloucestershire is a great place to study because of strong teaching quality and excellent academic support. Secondly, lt could improve in some areas like providing a greater consistency across courses and modules, enhancing placement and career opportunities, and more support for international students.

Overall a lovely place, with great facilities and people, though it is hard to use all of them without proper explanation sometimes, eg. I took nearly a month to understand SOL and where to find my assessment and briefs.

Uni of Reading has a really nice campus with plenty of green space and is in a nice area of Reading that is a short walk to town, student housing is also right next to campus so easy to do for second and third year. Has a really nice library thats great for getting work done and Wednesday night union on campus is great. Accommodation on and off campus is very expensive however and in general student life is more expensive here that at other unis.

Not always the most supportive and clear with assignments that are due and not always as understanding something doesn’t go to plan. The vet school in Langford cafeteria is quite limited and a lot more expensive than the main campus There is also limited areas to eat and relax compared to the main campus The content is not well spaced out on blackboard you often have to go into multiple folders to find specific work
