Learning Design and Development postgraduate degrees

I am a mature distance learning student, completing my MA in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics. The online platform is easy to use and the digital library is expansive. All staff have been easy to contact when I need any support, including IT, Finance, Admin, my personal tutor and teaching staff. I have been assigned a mentor to help me stay connected with university life and the Philosophy department. The modules are contemporary, as are the course materials. The student cohort is diverse and we all connect to the course flexibly, from different time zones. I receive a weekly events newsletter which has plenty of options for attending online webinars and socials.

I attend UOG Francis Close Hall campus and it's so incredibly inspiring. It's a great oldy-worldy historical site and it was really the deal-breaker for me choosing UOG; although my course mates and I were severely let down when we were told we would have to move to Oxstalls campus in Gloucester... we managed to get the union involved but only managed to get it pushed back a year for us, all new students in September for social science will be in Oxstalls and won't get to experience the beauty of FCH. Such a shame. Despite this, the facilities are amazing, staff are equipped with great knowledge and are all incredibly friendly. All students are friendly and light-minded, it's a great environment to study in and socialise. I commute so I cannot speak on the social side of student accommodation and/or going out, but as a commuter it meets all my needs! I really recommend studying here, the lecturers know what they're talking about, and are amazing at illustrating theories and concepts in ways that make sense.

There have been difficulties with communication from certain faculties to the students, but there have also been some lecturers who have been extremely supportive who have helped me with both educational and mental issues I have had, especially in the third year.

The best aspects are the student union and the facilities available. I think it could be improved if we had more books generally available at the library without requiring click and collect, since right now the library feels like a study space but not a real library.

One of the best aspects of my university experience has been the diversity and welcoming atmosphere. As an international student, that sense of inclusion really matters. The campus is modern, the accommodation is convenient, and it’s easy to meet people from different backgrounds. I also appreciate that lecturers are approachable and the teaching feels practical and relevant to real careers. The most challenging part for me was definitely information overload at the beginning. There were a lot of emails, updates, platforms, and systems to understand all at once, which honestly made me feel anxious at first. However, once you learn how everything works and organize what’s important, it becomes much more manageable. Overall, it is a supportive environment where you can grow academically and personally, it just takes a little time to adjust.

A lot of the courses aren't really standardised. Some use Moodle a lot, some don't. Though that might also be the lecturers trying to customise it to their teaching style. Lecturers are a mixed bag. Some read directly from slides, others actually try and engage with the class. Depends on what subject.

The supervisors, Phd office, students and the university itself have been wonderfully supportive. It is easy to criticise minor issues or those beyond the universities control, but overall it is just a great place to be and study. The Students Union could improve the way it deals with people as I did not find them particularly supportive, but then maybe I caught them on a bad day. I will still give them 4 stars since they mean well.

Overall a lovely place, with great facilities and people, though it is hard to use all of them without proper explanation sometimes, eg. I took nearly a month to understand SOL and where to find my assessment and briefs.

I recently completed the Level 4 Diploma in Business Management from the London School of Planning and Management (LSPM), and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Additionally, the flexibility of the course allowed me to study at my own pace while juggling work and personal commitments. Whether it was accessing online resources or attending virtual lectures, LSPM made it convenient for me to pursue further education without disrupting my daily routine. Furthermore, the accreditation of the diploma by recognised bodies added to the credibility of the qualification, enhancing my confidence in its value within the job market. I feel equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in my career and take on new challenges in the business world. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend LSPM's Level 4 Diploma in Business Management to anyone looking to enhance their expertise in this field. It's an excellent investment in your professional development, and I'm truly grateful for the enriching experience it has provided me with.

I enjoyed the course and it’s structure. I believe, that it set me up well for my research project and gave me the skills that employers are looking for. The worse aspect was the lack of time for activities outside of studying. Lectures and assignments took up most of the day and evening, especially during coursework and exam season.
