What students say about interpreting

My university experience had its highs and lows. The best part was the supportive academic environment, with passionate lecturers and plenty of resources like well-equipped libraries and study spaces. The vibrant campus life, with diverse clubs and events, made it a great place to meet people and grow personally. However, there were some downsides, like the high cost of living and occasional administrative delays, which could be frustrating. Improving affordability and streamlining student support services would make the experience even better overall.

What students say about interpreting

One of the best aspects of the campus is the overall campus location and how everything is evenly placed. Also, the facilities, such as the library and Canvas, are of great support for a healthy studying environment. However, some places for improvement could be a big relief for students. 1) An on-campus A big cafeteria, like a mess kitchen, would be a great addition where students can easily find multiple meals for lunch and dinner, which could be affordable and with a great variety in the menu. 2) A shop or a small supermarket where groceries can be easily accessible so that students living on campus don't have to go through the hassle of going to the city centre for basic things.

What students say about interpreting

Best is the people and the quality of the education, worst has to deal with who runs UCL, administration has quite a few dirtbags. Facilitates aren't the greatest. I prefer more of a traditional campus feel and prefer KCL and LSE campus. Still considering coming back to UCL to apply for a LLM, alongside the other London unis, and maybe throw my shot at oxbridge.

What students say about interpreting

The course curriculum is designed well to lay the foundations of various subjects in 1st sem, and we apply those learnings during our assignments and in the 2nd sem. It is more practical learning with hands-on approach on group projects and industry collaborations in the 2nd sem. The staffs are brilliant and incredibly supportive. There are lots of facilities and societies for extra curriculars. The university is situated near the city centre and so it is in a very good location. People in the town are very kind. Overall, I am having a great experience in the university.

What students say about interpreting

for my department, we have very good lecturers from all over the world with a range of experience, they're very friendly and really want to help, because of the diversity of the staff, you will always find someone you either vibe with or is super helpful in a specific problem you have, they're really down to earth. Theres always things to improve on, the most notable of which is just the types of study spaces, though the workaround is just walking into any random room in a building that isn't being used, and that solves the issues i have with the library etc, there are printers everywhere and yeah, not much to complain about Except one thing though, if each lecturer had the same way they set up their QMPLUS that would be good, as some lecturers have very well organised and informative QMPLUS pages while others do not, just so you know the QMPLUS page is where you can find all your lecture recordings, tutorial problems, semester plan and other info on the course,

What students say about interpreting

One of the best parts of my experience at the University of Surrey has been the supportive and inclusive environment. When I first arrived, I was quite shy and also struggled with a stutter, which made speaking in front of others difficult. However, the encouragement I received from both staff and fellow students helped me gradually build my confidence. Today, I feel much more comfortable expressing myself and speaking in groups, which has been a huge personal achievement. The university also offers excellent academic resources, engaging lecturers, and a diverse community that makes learning exciting and rewarding. The University of Surrey is a great place to study because it combines high-quality teaching with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The campus facilities, placement opportunities, and strong sense of community create an environment where students can not only excel academically but also grow personally. The cost of accommodation and overall fees can feel quite high, which may place a financial strain on students. Making housing more affordable or offering greater financial support would make the university experience more accessible to all.

Best aspect is the wonderful array of societies and extra curricular activities on campus, including my personal favourite Musicality! Worst part is probably the obscene charge for student card replacements, mine was stolen and I was still asked to pay £15!
