I am a mature distance learning student, completing my MA in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics. The online platform is easy to use and the digital library is expansive. All staff have been easy to contact when I need any support, including IT, Finance, Admin, my personal tutor and teaching staff. I have been assigned a mentor to help me stay connected with university life and the Philosophy department. The modules are contemporary, as are the course materials. The student cohort is diverse and we all connect to the course flexibly, from different time zones. I receive a weekly events newsletter which has plenty of options for attending online webinars and socials.

As an international Environmental Management student, my time at Plymouth has been defined by two things: academic freedom and incredible support. The resources in the Marine Building and library are top-tier for anyone willing to push themselves. It’s pretty. I wish they improved more of the facilities in architecture school. Our studios are quite dirty from pervious students so it’s not fair for new students to have a dirty studio when they walk in. Other than that the gym is great but Northumbria has a pool and a sauna and even a climbing wall

The uni has an abundance of bathrooms but they need to be cleaned more often as many students seem yo leave them in a horrific state. The campus is in a prime location where you are never far from anyplace you may need to go, especially for those staying on campus. I think the gym should be open later at night as some people are in from 9-5 and by the time they are done and hava had dinner and caught up in work there isn’t enough time for them to also have the opportunity to use the facilities.
