What students say about humanities

Best aspects are the smaller class sizes which means more personal attention and connections with lectures and students. The campus is nice especially in summer. However due to being a smaller university there are less resources and lack of enough transport between the campuses

What students say about humanities

People are friendly on course and tutors. Good contact time with tutors. Library really nice place to study. Need more places to have lunch in John Foster building as gets full in busy times, AR library and cafe needs more refill spaces for water bottles, better signage in John foster as it’s like a maze with no floorplans! More accessible plug sockets in rooms and lecture halls as sometimes it’s hard to find them and will need laptops all day. More seating in John Lennon building for lunches as feels like there’s loads of space but not lots of space to sit down with friends during busy times between 12-1. Issue timetables in advance to give us notice and don’t change rooms at last minute.

From the excellent facilities to the strong support system and nature-driven environment, choosing Edge Hill University was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The experience has shaped my perspective and deepened my passion for innovation, which is a core aspect of my profession. Support was always within reach, and the quality of teaching made a lasting impact, fueling my enthusiasm for Android development. This, in turn, inspired me to start a product with a friend—one we hope to bring to the public in the coming years. The location isn't at the heart of the city, so commuting to school was a bit challenging for me.

i love how social it is, that it's all one campus and there is always something going on. I don't think there are enough study spaces (group/social ones in particular), oftentimes it is really difficult to find a space unless you go early in the morning and get one.
