Higher Education Teaching postgraduate degrees

The location in central London not far from where the UKs decisions are made is amazing. The library has most of the resources I need and if you can’t find something the library staff will happily try and make it available. The thing where the uni lets us down the most is admin.

The university has a great capability to translate academic research into practice, especially in life sciences area. The Institute of Biomedical Sciences has experimental cancer medicines manufacturing unit that in cooperation with Cancer Research UK is generating a great impact by introducing new innovative and personalized medicines for cancer care.

I attended this university for my undergraduate degree over a decade ago, and I cherished my experience then just as much as I do now. Currently, I find myself in a different phase of life as a mature student with a young family. Nevertheless, I believe that the student experience and facilities continue to meet my needs, even as they differ from those I had during my undergraduate studies. Across all campuses, the staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The environment is clean and well-maintained, fostering a strong sense of pride among both students and staff. Overall, the university feels safe and inclusive. I wouldn't say there is a worst aspect of my university experience, as I feel it meets my expectations at this stage in my career and life.

UHI is a fantastic university for distance learning courses. The support that they provide is assuring, teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, and the intended learning outcomes are very clearly outlined from the very start. Accordingly, I enthusiastically recommend studying the PG distance learning courses through the UHI!

The best aspect in my opinion is the community. The University creates a friendly atmosphere where it is easy to talk to people. The worst aspect of the University is sometimes it can be hard to get support for assignments as a lot of the essay structures I haven't done before. For example a literature review.

The course I am on, the staff are very supportive, very helpful and knowledgeable. The uni itself is a little outdated, not enough places to sit at breaktimes, and not enough facilities such as kettles and microwaves. Library is good and staff are very helpful

The supervisors, Phd office, students and the university itself have been wonderfully supportive. It is easy to criticise minor issues or those beyond the universities control, but overall it is just a great place to be and study. The Students Union could improve the way it deals with people as I did not find them particularly supportive, but then maybe I caught them on a bad day. I will still give them 4 stars since they mean well.

Design of each module is perfect according to the professional requirement , providing students best environment of study , supportive and much more than that interactive sessions in class to share practical experiences and professional both. As facility , Teaching staff is really good and well organized to teach and deal with students to provide them equal guidance and equal attention. And lets talk about the learning you will find as student various activities organized for each week by Student union and University to provide students a friendly, healthy and peaceful environment to keep them updated and active in their academic career. Best part cultural diversity different people from different parts of world came here as student and their is no any different among them , each are provided with same level of education , support and behave as one team. The campus is absolutely gorgeous! A wonderful mix of old and new, castles and modern buildings. Reserving rooms encourages students to get out of their rooms and study anywhere on campus, from the top of the castle tower, to the communal "pods" at Commons. The Student Union building has a bar and a small shop, and activities going on almost every day. Karaoke every other Saturday is one of my favourites. Close enough to the city of Bath for easy access, while still having the feeling of a university town. Lots of student discounts and student bars/clubs in town, as the University of Bath is also nearby. Interesting classes, lovely lecturers and guest lecturers, and proper assessments. Few, if not none, tests, allowing for those who do not thrive with simple memorization to show off how they learn. The diversity of students encourages the broadening of your own world view. A wide range of courses, allowing for study into incredibly specific topics. The main issue with the university is the wait time for wellbeing appointments, as it can take up to four months to even get a foot in the door. This means that if you do need help, it is very difficult to achieve. Also, while it isn't the university's fault, it is important to know that the First Bus system is not very reliable, so if you have a job in town, it is quite nerve-wracking.
