Graphic Arts postgraduate degrees in North East England

The staff I have met so far as well as the facilities available (especially Adsetts Library & the new buildings) have been amazing and have provided an excellent environment for learning. I will say though that this review is incomplete, mainly due to the fact that the Student Union is in the process of moving location and so I haven't experienced it a lot. There is a cost of living shop though and the staff are really nice.

The people are lovely. And if you ever have issues with someone the uni is quick to act. Uni at night feels safer with all the lights. Good food. Lots of clubs to join what are fun. Building close to early.

Based on my time here, the University of Huddersfield is an excellent choice if you're looking for a career-focused degree and a supportive learning environment. The standout feature is definitely the teaching quality, backed by the Gold TEF rating, as nearly all my lecturers were genuine experts who were passionate and approachable. The modern, compact campus is a big plus—everything is central, from the state-of-the-art library (great during exam season!) to the specialist labs, and the fact that Huddersfield itself is a really affordable student town makes a huge difference. While the local nightlife might not rival a big city like Manchester, the focus on practical skills, the strong emphasis on industry placements, and the overall sense of community made my experience highly rewarding and put me in a great position for my career.

I love YSJ because the staff are really welcoming, i like the food in the canteen and the feel of the uni. It could be improved by having more social events throughout the year instead of just freshers.

Leeds Arts Univerity is small in size, meaning there are few noteworthy Student Unions in comparison to UoL, but does feel welcoming and safe. The university's student support is freindly and helpful from what I experienced; LAU is a very inclusive organisation and does strive to support students with a variety of services available. The campus is a little dull looking, with few spaces looking vibrant in contrast to the many white/grey hallways. I was able to use the Film/Photography course's cameras as a Music student, however the university's facilities seem somewhat limited as a whole, with spaces and equipment scarce close to submission time.
