Student Life
It’s pretty. I wish they improved more of the facilities in architecture school. Our studios are quite dirty from pervious students so it’s not fair for new students to have a dirty studio when they walk in. Other than that the gym is great but Northumbria has a pool and a sauna and even a climbing wall

The best aspects are the student union and the facilities available. I think it could be improved if we had more books generally available at the library without requiring click and collect, since right now the library feels like a study space but not a real library.

My Course: really good law course with good lecturers, however seminar teaching and small group teaching can be very varied in quality, and often there is not much time for 1/1 support and feedback, especially in assessments. The School of Law and Social Justice put on really interesting career events every single week in the event space to meet employers, and there are lots of opportunities to develop employability such as volunteering at the law clinic. University in general: I love the University campus despite there being a few roads that run though it, it is a nice place to be and there is a community feel when you walk around campus, everyone feels welcome and there is always something going on. Student support is not the best, it takes ages to get an appointment, if you even get one, but once you have reasonable adjustments in place then things are generally okay. The Guild of Students: The guild feels like a second home at Uni, it is a very welcoming space that you can go to for whatever occasion, and there is always something going on there as well.

There are excellent lecturers and student support services (particularly academic skills). The campus has a good feel and has a lot of outdoor seating which will be nice when the weather is warm. Lecture rooms are good but the seats are very uncomfortable. There is little impact from the students' union, for example there was no 'refreshers fayre' for January intake students, which also impacts the student life score.

The location is great, surrounded by a multitude of stores for easy access to the majority of things required for student living. As well as that it is surrounded by student accommodation and is widely accessible to many, though some buildings are difficult to navigate/find without experience or guide. It is well-maintained for the majority of areas. The range of facilities as well is good for all manners of course studies.

Worst is library computers, they have to include usbc for computer extension. I like the organisation I wish they had more international student support considering we’re paying 3x more for the same thing
