Food Science and Technology postgraduate degrees in North East England

It’s pretty. I wish they improved more of the facilities in architecture school. Our studios are quite dirty from pervious students so it’s not fair for new students to have a dirty studio when they walk in. Other than that the gym is great but Northumbria has a pool and a sauna and even a climbing wall

The labs on level 8 are really really good facilities lots of opportunities to improve in lab skills, the worst aspects are the sports halls at city and colligiate for korfball training they just aren’t big enough

Northumbria's sports facilities are fantastic, I love sports central. As a sport lover it is a great place to go, super encouraging at getting students to be involved in sports whether through participating or watching. The psychology department is brilliant, nice big rooms and social spaces for independent study or group chats. Habita is cosy and big, always showing sports, fun music and cheap food and drinks.

Leeds Beckett is situated in a great location. Firstly city campus is situated around 10-15 minutes walk from the city centre meaning if you are in first year student halls this is very convenient as many of them are right in the city. Furthermore if you are at Headingley campus you able to hop on the free shuttle to the city centre or if your living in the Carnegie halls, then this is right on your doorstep. Otherwise you are 10 minutes walk from Headingley centre and around 20-25 minutes from Hyde Park which is where many 2nd year and 3rd year students live in student houses. Leeds Beckett has a variety of courses and a great selection of staff on each course, meaning you interact with different lecturers and leaders. Moreover, the societies and student events mean socialising is encouraged and can lead you to make unforgettable memories and lifelong friends. I would say this is probably the best uni for someone to attend due to the close knit community that is created by Leeds Beckett and its location as it is an easy city to find your way round and it very quickly becomes a home away from home that you will be sad to leave.

Great aspect is the modern facilities and learning environment. The campus is well-equipped with up-to-date labs and software resources, which is especially valuable for engineering students. The university also provides good academic support services and career guidance, helping students improve employability. Meanwhile, for something to improve the best will be expanding networking opportunities with more industry professionals and increasing internship connections would further enhance our careers.

There are excellent lecturers and student support services (particularly academic skills). The campus has a good feel and has a lot of outdoor seating which will be nice when the weather is warm. Lecture rooms are good but the seats are very uncomfortable. There is little impact from the students' union, for example there was no 'refreshers fayre' for January intake students, which also impacts the student life score.

Oxford Brookes University offers a supportive learning environment with passionate lecturers and modern facilities. The campus is vibrant, with plenty of opportunities to get involved in clubs and events. The city of Oxford adds to the appeal, providing a rich, historic backdrop and excellent career opportunities. Overall, it’s a great choice for those looking for a balance of academics and student life.
