Really great university. LSE has such a vibrant international atmosphere, and it’s location in the center of London gives you so many options! I love all the student deals. However, I feel like many of the student activity processes could be streamlined as it seems so overwhelming as a foreigner/first-year. Like, having to book a ticket, but then still waiting in line or an event being overbooked via ticketing that people are dissuaded to come. Then, when the event takes place, the ticket holders don’t even come.

I'm an optometry student entering my third year in September 2024. The lecturers are very nice and supportive; however, the optometry students in Group C are extremely rude, disrespectful, and lack any sort of manners. Many of them speak poorly of you if you fall behind or are slow in your routine, and they refuse to collaborate despite knowing that practice is essential for skill improvement.

There are excellent lecturers and student support services (particularly academic skills). The campus has a good feel and has a lot of outdoor seating which will be nice when the weather is warm. Lecture rooms are good but the seats are very uncomfortable. There is little impact from the students' union, for example there was no 'refreshers fayre' for January intake students, which also impacts the student life score.

Great buildings and location with great transport links to major cities. Being taught by people who are the best in that field and being able to contribute to their research at an early time in your studies. The tutorial system with very few people in classes making learning much more interactive.

The environment and atmosphere of the campus is very enjoyable and pleasant. There are many learning areas to do work and chill with friends. In my opinion, although the library is well equipped, it lacks aesthetic appeal. There could be more affordable shops to get quick snacks from.

Generally, the facilities on offer are well designed and accessible. The distance of the university from London makes it fairly attractive, and the campus is among the more unique offerings across the UK. I found some sports societies to be a little on the expensive side, and having had to commute for part of my time as a student, the student life aspect hasn't always been the best or most exciting.
