The location is super nice with a beach near by and all uni buildings close together. The facilities the uni has to offer are good library, ravelin sport Center. The sport clubs available are extremely enjoyable. The welfare and student support is good but could be advertised a bit more often so everyone knows what’s available and where etc

The campus at the University of Nottingham is a beautiful place to be able to complete my studies. It has a welcoming and homely feeling. Facilities such as the David Ross Sports Centre and both libraries make it easy for me to complete extra activities such as netball and going to the gym, along with great places to study. Improvements involving the student union could be made, as I found it difficult to find out information about this. However, I couldn’t fault any other aspect of the University.

The University of Brighton is a great place to study; in the heart of the city, you're only ever a stones throw away from the beach or the iconic Lanes. All the staff are incredibly supportive and there's little doubt they want you to achieve your full potential. The only downside of my time at the University of Brighton was that much of my time was marred by strikes. Whilst I 100% back and support all striking workers, it was clear that University management had very little care for staff and students. Especially if you're a humanities subject.

Library is very nice and modern, good facilties. Careers and Employability were very useful and helped me improve my CV. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Uni is very clean and gardens always look very nice. I love the private study offices and the kitchen areas. Not many downsides only really it can be very busy somedays. More facilities for food like microwaves and kettles.

The location in central London not far from where the UKs decisions are made is amazing. The library has most of the resources I need and if you can’t find something the library staff will happily try and make it available. The thing where the uni lets us down the most is admin.

Lancaster University’s campus has everything you need when living in university accommodation, however it’s location is a downside as it takes 20-30 minutes to get into town to go shopping. Accommodation is nice, I am in Cartmel and lived in a flat of 8 with an en-suite bathroom. The kitchens and rooms are reasonably spacious with plenty of storage. Downside of en-suite bathrooms is that they flood quickly and drains are blocked easily.

Durham is a beautiful city and university with great social opportunities. The traditions are very strong at this school. It feels today like how Oxford and Cambridge were twenty years ago. Sometimes administration can be a challenge, many people have difficulty in knowing how to pay tuition and the university is slow to respond to emails. Also, there are far too many international students and just students in general. The university’s expansion plans are causing a drop in the school’s national and international rankings and causing the university to be in danger of losing its character.

The SU is doing fabulous work, and made me feel part of our community since my very first week at uni! However, I have had quite poor experiences with university support services and didn’t feel well supported as an international student. The lack of basic facilities like enough plug sockets and microwaves for students around campus doesn’t make student life easier, especially during the cost of living crisis. The sports facilities that can be used by university sports clubs haven’t been renovated (apart from the gym) and are non-existent for some sports, making clubs pay more to hire external facilities, therefore, making quite a lot of sports completely inaccessible due to the costs involved. The participation support fund isn’t transparent at all and I haven’t met anyone who actually managed to get anything sufficient out of it. The learning support plans don’t feel completely integrated into how education and assessments are organised, and often are disregarded/not paid attention to.

The environment is great and there’s loads of support. The uni constantly asks for the student’s opinions on what they could do better and actually implement suggestions. It could maybe be improved if there where more help with job opportunities for international students who wish to stay in the uk and are unsure of their options.

One of the best aspects of studying at the University of Aberdeen is the strong academic support and access to great facilities, like the Sir Duncan Rice Library. The campus is also beautiful, and the student community is welcoming, which makes it easy to settle in and feel part of things. The lecturers are knowledgeable and approachable, and there are plenty of resources available to support learning. However, an area for improvement would be increasing study spaces during busy times, as it can sometimes be hard to find a quiet spot, especially around exam periods. Additionally, having more streamlined access to online resources and library services in one place, like MyAberdeen, would make it even easier to access what we need for our studies.
