What students say about education

The Best Aspects: One of the best things about my university is the high quality of teaching and the dedication of the professors. They are approachable, knowledgeable, and truly care about students’ academic growth. The library is another highlight, offering a wide range of resources and comfortable study spaces. Additionally, the diverse student community creates an inclusive and vibrant environment where it’s easy to make friends and exchange ideas. Suggestions for Improvement: Streamlining administrative systems and investing in updated facilities would significantly improve the student experience. Offering more affordable housing options or financial support would also make the university more accessible to a broader range of students.

What students say about education

My best experience at Ulster University when I started working here as Global Ambassador. I really appreciate that university offers part time to students and obviously it's a well paid job. We learn a lot about communication skill but I am delighted to see that students here at Ulster University can have this practical, hands on experience by working as Global Ambassador, Student Ambassador, Campus Ambassador. University also arranges job fairs, career fairs, various events so the students get opportunities to interact and build network connection with recruiters, fellow students, staffs and faculty members. Ulster University student portal has A 2 Z information for example if a student needs to have access to online publications for writing academic essays, they can easily use online library services in portal. No need to go to bank to pay fees, students can easily pay fees through portal. For international students, university have made available a very useful app called UUniready app. So any international student can get all details in the app that they are required to know before arriving about Belfast/Northern Ireland, University, collecting BRP, booking for accomodation, CELT session, orientation session. I would suggest all facilities should help their students to get placement/internship after completing their course. I have heard many students struggling with getting placement as they don't get that support from faculty. Most of the international students are new here, they don't know much people so I would suggest the facilities should help them to find a placement.

What students say about education

My university is small and friendly which I love. Everyone is looking out for each other and there’s plenty of activities to keep you occupied. The teachers and staff are very supportive of our studies, if we have any questions they are keen to answer. The only downside Id say is if you are travelling to university each day and don’t own a car, the nearest train station is a 30 minute walk. It sometimes leaves people in a rush.
