Digital Arts postgraduate degrees in Southern England

As an international Environmental Management student, my time at Plymouth has been defined by two things: academic freedom and incredible support. When I faced significant personal loss and financial struggles that impacted my attendance, the faculty didn't write me off they gave me the flexibility to recover and succeed. The course itself is far more than just exams. I was able to lead complex, consultancy-style projects (like my work on Singapore Heat Stress policies) that felt like real professional work, not just coursework. The resources in the Marine Building and library are top-tier for anyone willing to push themselves. Plymouth offers a rare balance: it challenges you intellectually to reach distinction levels, but supports you personally when life gets hard. Highly recommended for students who want resilience alongside their degree.

It's a brilliant location - a mix between city and a town. Safe town for students with limited nigh out facilities, but the ones present seem to be active in scheduling events. The campus is beautiful and accessible. The employability team is brilliant in organising placement opportunities for all students and providing feedback on CV and providing support throughout. However, more work can be put in by professors to provide better feedback on assignments before and after submission.

The actual university was fine. The new building has a lot of great facilities but some of them can only be used by people from that actual course. Sewing machines and work spaces can get really busy. Nice interior design and layout.

I really like the campus and the food is affordable. My feedback would be more access to society’s I really like want to join some and have tried reaching out to them but never get any response and I don’t know whom to go to

The Buckingham community is really quaint and lovely, making it a really easy process when getting to know everyone and exploring the town. The university itself has some nice study spaces to offer, and the medicine building in particular is very well facilitated. In terms of improvement, the university could look into refurbishing some of the student accommodation buildings.
