Computer Science postgraduate degrees in Glasgow

The food options aren’t great and it’s too pricey also I know they are encouraging independent learning but it would help if we were thought how to do certain things, especially the labs so it can run smoother and we learn independently - instead of trying to figure out what the first step is because we aren’t getting guidance when trying to carry out experiments. It’s a great place to study because it’s very close to where I live and the facilities are great in JMS but it seems like that’s the main hub and gets very busy.

I would recommend paisley university to any other students wanting to come to uni to study. The computing course I am studying is going great to. The facilities and resources are also really helpful to do well in the course.

Improvements to the buildings are appriciated, some buildings feel disconnected from. Their old outside appearance, however I still would recommend the campus as one of the more good looking/appealing ones.

GOOD ASPECT：1. The staff are extremely friendly and well - trained. They always greet everyone with warm smiles and are ready to offer help, which makes the whole environment pleasant. 2. Some of the course teachers are highly professional and their classes are vivid. They use various teaching methods, like real - life examples and interactive activities, to make the knowledge easy to understand and engaging. There is an aspect that needs improvement. The learning adviser team is not very proactive in communication. Some students receive emails from their learning advisers, while others don't. It would be beneficial to inform all students that meetings with learning advisers will be scheduled within 2 - 4 weeks.

The atmosphere at this university is great! The union is always lively, with pool and darts, hot food, music and lots of room for socialising. Even when in class it feels great, the lectures are always informative and the seminars mean that the tutors can really help and talk to the students. I like the fact that each semester the students can choose their own seminar times, creating a timetable that suits their schedule. The location of this university is one of my favourite things, such a close walk to the main shopping street and some great places for food. Also close to to GCU which is great as the students can mix and hang out together. Overall this university is a great place to apply and i am very happy with the decision i made!
