What students say about company-law

The university offers great financial and mental health support. It has course reps to keep on enhancing the quality of student life, as a course I am able to communicate in meetings of problems (if any) around my course. The university keeps me well informed about anything happening at university which makes me feel like I’m part of DMU. The personal tutors make sure that they are accessible to their students. In terms of how it could be improved would be the lecture halls, to make them look more motivating.

What students say about company-law

Best part of the uni is it's facilities like the David Wilson Library and sports centers, student union , career hub etc. Accommodation is decent, with options in the city and The Village, though the latter is farther from campus. On the downside, some buildings feel outdated, Wi-Fi can be patchy, and travel from The Village to campus can be inconvenient. Overall, it’s supportive with room for improvement.

What students say about company-law

The campus at the University of Nottingham is a beautiful place to be able to complete my studies. It has a welcoming and homely feeling. Facilities such as the David Ross Sports Centre and both libraries make it easy for me to complete extra activities such as netball and going to the gym, along with great places to study. Improvements involving the student union could be made, as I found it difficult to find out information about this. However, I couldn’t fault any other aspect of the University.

What students say about company-law

The best aspects of the university are certainly the staff, both academic and support. The lecturers are all very knowledgeable, engaging and dedicated. They make themselves available to answer student’s questions and support student life by attending society events. The University also offers fantastic support services such as Employability. They offer a huge range of events, with opportunities to hear from professionals and network with them. Their staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. One aspect I would like to see improved at the University is in administration, particularly the Student’s Union. As somebody who runs a society it has been very difficult at times to organise events and it’s a shame because this has detrimentally affected an important part of university life. I understand this department is going through a transitionary period and so there is hope that things will improve going forward. That’s not to say all my experiences have been bad. There are many helpful and understanding staff in admin roles and in the SU but some problems have been inexplicably difficult to resolve. It isn’t always clear who to contact for certain issues and this leads to massive delays and missing out on some basic offerings. Some issues really should’ve been solved but persist for many months. I hope the changes to the SU will bring positive results in the future. It isn’t all bad but it certainly has been an issue at the University for some time and so it has to be raised.
