It’s a great uni for social life. The finance team I found was a bit tight. On my campus, there is no microwave or kettle or canteen, just a vending machine. Sometimes, I find the course confusing with the lack of guidance.

Worst is the limited contact time with professors. It feels really rushed which is unfortunate because there is so much to discover here and it becomes stressful when we feel like cattle who must be rushed in and out. The university itself is fantastic though. It’s incredibly inspiring to walk through the workshops, lecture halls, and library- it feels like you’re in the center of the world. Everything is state of the art and the staff is phenomenal. I just wish they cut less corners in terms of students’ ability to engage with it all.

Norwich University of the Arts was my first choice when applying to university and having completed almost 2/3 years of my course, I don't regret my decision. I love the city, I love my course, I love my teachers and I love what I learn. My technical graphic skills have only developed and consolidated since the beginning of first year and are projected to continue doing so, all thanks to the community I joined.

Great university located in a beautiful coastal town. The staff are kind and supportive, and there to help students in times of need. The SU organises events which support students, like the free pantry on Mondays, where those of us who are struggling due to cost of living can take food for free . Additionally, there are many facilities, like the printing room and the MAC suite, which students can use to help them with their course work material. Overall a lovely place filled with amazing people, but awful prices. The campus art shop, while handy, has high prices and the canteen food is extremely pricey too. They also do not accept any cash, which can be a hassle.

The best aspect of the university is its inclusiveness and overall collectiveness and community you get when you’re a part of the university and even after you have left I have seen previous alumni and staff being an active part of the community works present over here and participate in their respective events.

Lengthy/ time consuming problems related to enrollment and delay in access to resources, apart from that people are helpful, vibe is great and plenty of space to relax and work. Am enjoying the course, good scope of issues and topics.

I find the location, community and campus feel very peaceful and relaxing, and the education provided is good quality and varied. There could be more support for students who struggle to fit in with the student body, e.g., more help and encouragement to join societies or opportunities to socialise with peers.

The Francis Close Hall and Oxstalls campus libraries provide 24/7 access to extensive collections, IT resources, wireless printing, and photocopying services. Across the university, students have access to over 500 computers, free Wi-Fi, and loanable laptops. Media equipment, including camcorders and dictaphones, is also available, with digital editing software installed on all library PCs. The university boasts a variety of specialist facilities tailored to different disciplines. For instance, the Oxstalls campus houses the Business School and Growth Hub, featuring a live trading room, innovative teaching spaces, and a moot court room. Additionally, the campus offers an international-standard sports arena, 3G pitches, and a cricket pavilion and pitch. The University of Gloucestershire fosters a diverse student community where individuals from various backgrounds learn together while embracing university life. The Chapel at Francis Close Hall offers a tranquil space for reflection, providing mental and emotional support for students seeking peace amidst their academic journey. This inclusive environment enhances student well-being, encouraging a sense of belonging and personal growth. A potential area for improvement would be the provision of short-term university accommodation for students in need, particularly at the postgraduate level. Given the unique challenges faced by these students—such as research commitments, placements, or unforeseen personal circumstances—offering flexible housing options would greatly enhance their academic experience and overall well-being. This initiative would reflect the university's commitment to student support, ensuring that all scholars have access to a stable and conducive living environment during critical phases of their studies.
