Business Studies postgraduate degrees in South East England

Studying at Imperial College Business School for my Master's in Economics & Strategy for Business was an incredible experience. The program pushed me to think critically and strategically while offering the perfect blend of academic rigor and practical application. I was inspired by the diverse, driven cohort and had the chance to collaborate with brilliant peers from around the globe. The faculty's expertise and guidance truly enhanced my learning, and the school's location in the heart of London made the experience even more vibrant and enriching. It was a transformative journey that broadened my perspective and prepared me for real-world challenges.

The staff are great! They are always there for support and I never feel like I do not have someone to approach when struggling. Having a personal tutor is so beneficial as well, as you always have them to talk to whether it be about your studies, personal matters or career paths! I also love that it is all one campus so no need to run between building to building making it to classes as they all link in some way. The student wellbeing service is also a great support system in place, the counselling service is extremely helpful and an amazing thing to have built into the university.

Most of the uni staff go above to help students, many of them staying extra hours and using their free time and their own supplies to help. The worst part is that the uni doesn’t provide that much support so often you rely on the kindness of certain technicians and lecturers. XNor does uni check on some of the lecturers ability to teach and to keep the curriculum up to date (some courses unfortunately get lecturers that reuse the same teaching material for 5+ years - luckily this doesn’t happen that often)

The people are lovely. And if you ever have issues with someone the uni is quick to act. Uni at night feels safer with all the lights. Good food. Lots of clubs to join what are fun. Building close to early.

The best part is that St. Mary's is a small university so it feels like a very supportive community. We have great well-being resources and events, such as Wobble Week, and campus is really beautiful. The worst part is probably that the Students' Union could be a bit more modern and cosy. I would also love some better quality tennis courts.

Campus life is engaging and fun if you're active; lots of choices of sports and social clubs. 3sixty club in campus is also one of best student clubbing experience I've had in the UK. Library is chic and comfortable with sufficient study spaces and books / online resource. Course content is interesting and inspiring but coursework is indeed demanding (if you are a good and hardworking student). Tutoring hours is not quite enough and most of the time you are expected to guide yourself through module content and problem solving. Disabilities support is available and of easy access but they could be reluctant to provided further assistance to students suffering from severe conditions or sudden accidents, and this could impact your studies to a large degree. However, if you are a healthy student with normal social life, it is not that difficult to graduate with a 2:1 or 1st with a bit of hard work whilst enjoying uni life.
