Biotechnology postgraduate degrees in North West England

I love Liverpool John Moores University, such a great place to study being very central to the rest of the city. Always so much to do whether that is studying in the sun or in the student life building on a rainy day or going for a shop in the town. There are so many green places around which are really great to study in! Everyone in Liverpool is so friendly and it’s such a comforting place to be.

Everyone I have met has been friendly and helpful. There are plenty of societies to join and the student union bar is great for a bit of socialisation on the side. I wish there were more green spaces to sit and quiet areas like the library dotted around. Parking is a bit hit and miss but there's plenty of buses.

The best aspect has definitely been the people and the culture in Liverpool. A vibrant, friendly and diverse environment! The worst aspect has been the weather and limited opportunities for international students to work.

What makes it a great place to study: Many study places, great teachers, good learning environment What can improve: 1. faith space especially for Muslim we have to pray 5 times a day, the prayer space is not in every building and walking from one building to another takes time. The wudhu space is also only available in Manchester Museum, so we have to use the public washroom to make wudhu 2. The study space, there are many plugs that are not working either in Main Library and Alan Gilbert Learning Commons (not sure about other places), so I hope it’ll get fixed 3. So many websites, I hope there’ll be one integrated space that student can check everything without having to jump from one website to another
