Biomedical Sciences postgraduate degrees

Swansea is a really fine place to study. The campus is absolutely stunning, right by the sea, and it feels like you're constantly surrounded by nature. The lecturers are generally good, and I've liked my courses so far. However, the weather can be a bit grim sometimes! But overall, I've am having a fantastic time at Swansea.

What makes my uni a great place to study is their student support. They try to help their students in any way possible to ensure that students get the best out of their education. I think it would be better if the university put more effort into societies and clubs such as sporting clubs and teams . It would help the university to have more of a community and really showcase other talents other than what students already study on their courses. My university do have societies and some sporting teams, however some of the societies don’t run anymore and it’s not made to be as big as it was when I first heard about it before I joined uni. I think it’s important to have that feel of community and university culture and to also show the inclusiveness of different cultures, groups and activities in which people associate them selves with.

Everything about UoB is great! Especially being an international student, UoB has provided me with a sense of warmth and welcoming and has created an environment that feels like a home away from home. The exposure we have as university students to the field of careers is amazing. And the university also has an amazing careers connect team that provide one-to-one support from mock interviews to CV reviews. The academic faculty is filled with professors who are experts in their chosen fields.

I've loved studying at the University of Plymouth so far! Staff are really friendly and have always been really happy to help. The SU is great for relaxing between lectures during the day as well as for clubbing on a Saturday night. I'm also really enjoying my course and Plymouth is in a great location to try out fieldwork in different habitats.

- When navigating around campus as a fresher as much as I love it, there is room for improvement. I would only say more signs and more people on reception. A designated place that everyone knows where to go about any issues. I spoke with other peers and as much as the student fees room we have adopted as where to go if lost somewhere signposted would be beneficial. - We loved the accommodation ball would enjoy more events like this rather than one! - As much as the Brodie tower gives a great view in my opinion i believe it should be prioritised over others on campus for a refurb. I love the social areas that I can spend time with my friends and buy delicious food. Leeds Beckett also has a lot of sports club options whether that’s on the main teams or the social teams. My course is also very practical and has excellent equipment to utilise for our learning. The only suggestion I could think for improvements is potentially increasing the seating areas or decreasing the food prices in the city campus cafes.
